That made fucking no sense.
I'd say the Battle of Pharsalus is probably one of my favourites. The fact that Caesar managed to rout a force 4 times bigger than his own in open battle says a lot about what a talented and gifted General he was. There are many battles and clashes, particularly in his Gaul Campaign, that showed his skill - but none more so than this in my opinion.
A close second, for me, would be Genghis Khan's first clash against the Imperial Chin army at the Badger's Mouth Pass. I don't think there's been another occasion where a General has used his advantages so skillfully as he did the Mongol Horse-Archers, fuck the chin baby! |
