Well, personally, speaking as one of the lazy useless Godfathers, I think that I have a wonderful sense of humor. I'm able to take many jokes on a daily basis. This, sir, was not a joke- and based off of your untimely death it seems that someone agrees with me. |

Erhm, to clear something up. This man had approached me before making his speech, warning me that he was going to go "take the piss" so to speak. He wanted to go deliver an over-the-top speech that mixed clearly false allegations with truth in such a way to rile emotions, cause a laugh, and prove a few points (some of them the opposite of what he was saying). I asked him to strip a few portions out "just in case" someone took it too seriously. Evidently it wasn't enough, or perhaps was too much so the excesses of the speech didn't shine through clearly enough, and in either case it is quite unfortunate. If some of his more serious allegations seem less joke like and more disrespectful, that's a bad sign, because many of the more "serious" things he said were meant to be so far over the top as to be unbelievable. And apparently they were not. |
