Days like these a far and few for the old man. Sitting on the bench the old man has his eyes closed, listening to sounds of laughter and children running around. The park is cool, yet feels warm at the same time. The season is changing and the blossom of flowers and their scents are romantic. Pondering the many years he has been around, he thinks of the joyous times he has had. His youth, strong, adventurous and daring. The women he has loved, and the family he has raised. The old man knows his time is coming, but is not afraid. How could he be, with a gun pointed in his face the so many countless times before, death was really never worry for him. But today, he can feel the warmth of the sun on his face, can feel the blood running through his veins, and is able to walk without the use of his cane.

A little boy pops up to the old man and say,"Hey mister you okay."

"Ahh, yes son I am. What can I do for you". old man says.

"Nothing, I guess, I was just asking is all". the boy comments

"Well that is very nice of you". Reaches in his pocket and takes out a few coins "Why don't you run over to that ice cream shop and ask Tommy in there for some ice cream cones for you and your friends. Get a coffee for this old man will yea". The old man says.

"Sure" turns to his friends "hey guys lets get some ice cream".

The old man smiles and the youthful sprite of the child.

After glancing around, the old man notice a younger man walking toward him. He can tell this is not an everyday Joe Shom off the street. But a mafioso, and he wonders how long has he been in this life, where is he going. Then he thinks to himself, that the man is not one of his boys.

The Old Man catches himself in thought, about when he first got to the main land. The time he decided to join a family and live this life. The choices he has had to make and the decisions he lives with everyday of his life.

He looks at the young man and wonders, will he do the same. Will he get to live a life. What will he do.

The Old Man looks up and notices the young man standing there and says "How can I help you young man."

The you man knows who he is standing in front off, sweat beading down he face and a little nervous and asks," May I ask you a question."
