Lacey walked the streets as she normally would at night. It was wet out. Not soaking wet, raining for days kind of wet, but damp enough so the water covered everything. She awaited her walk signal and began to cross State Street. Initially there for a business trip, she decided to make an announcement. As she walked toward the soapbox where her Father unveiled the same idea, she faintly saw a mirage of him and his associates in the slush and snow talking to a crowd of people. She imagined him and his clumsy self walking the same path stumbling and tripping no doubt, as was his "style. As she neared the soapbox she looked up at the rain and dark sky. It was slightly late, a weird time to make such an announcement- but she was the nervous type. Word would circulate eventually anyway. Not sure her father would approve of a late night business announcement for a "gift to the city", as he once explained it to a young Lacey. Lacey gripped an envelope in her hand before beginning to speak. Excuse me everyone. I have an important announcement regarding a new business venture. The first in the line of privately owned businesses I hope for you to see from Menaux Incorporated. All too often I stroll to the empty and lackluster business districts of our wonderful cities and I think to myself, what happened to this place? Now, I'm not saying there aren't a few stand out businesses that I frequent myself, but I can't help but wonder what it would be like if there were so many more. Businesses from goods to services. Yeah, that's the ticket. Lacey thinks back at her words cursing herself for not having the same confidence her Father had, but she continued. Well, I've come up with a solution that gets to the heart of what its all about, business. Money. Moolah. Dough. I now present to you, the first business in the line of Menaux Incorporated's own: Menaux Incorporated: Realty and Construction For a nominal fee, explained on the pamphlets in the newspaper machine... Lacey pointed to a couple of broken newspaper machines she had taken upon herself to fill with the fliers. A few men tipped their hats and began handing them out. Graciously Lacey continued. For a nominal fee, Menaux Inc's line talented architects will construct you your very own business in the city of your choice. Whether it be a straightforward bar, or a intricate smoke shop. Perhaps tattoo parlors are more your style and you just don't have the time to plan out the building and architecture on your lonesome. This is no longer a worry for you. You may be thinking to yourself: "What are the benefits of working with Menaux Incorporated as opposed to privately building?" - You will have access to our options making your business as successful as possible. Please take a look at your pamphlets and I will explain each point directly. Lacey reads slowly..
Well, I guess that pretty much covers it. Lacey looks left and right and then up at the rain. Now taking requests and questions... Lacey watches some people raise their hands and begin to speak. |

Sao listens to Lacey speak about the old business that both of their fathers worked on. He approaches Lacey after her speech is done. It's nice to see that you're trying to bring our fathers idea back into play. I'm totally down with this and do whatever I can with the business. Effing w00t. Sao lights a cigarette and walks away. |
