Guardian wanders out into the streets, some paper grasped in one hand and one of Cuba's finest in the other. He gathers the attention of those around and begins to speak. Whilst I was delighted to receive the initial batch of applications for New York HQs, not to mention intrigued to see who they'd come from, I have to say the overall feeling is of disappointment, perhaps not from them all, but the majority. After reading through the applications, myself, Frankie and the board do not feel we have yet received anything from a suitable applicant. Why you ask? Well, there are many reasons, but let me note a few of the virtues you will need to display - effort, ambition, ingenuity, originality. You get the idea, the list goes on and on. What I do not want to see is five-sentence applications that outline nothing except your power-hungry wants. Do you really expect to be granted such a massive opportunity based on such lackadaisical showings? I doubt it. For those that ventured beyond the initial few lines of brain dump, I still need to see more. Think, consider your words carefully, lay out a plan. This is your ONLY way to impress us. If the words and ideals you come up with don't grab our attention, your dream ends there. We want people who will clearly strive to better the New York Mafia, who will help take it forward into another era through hard work and originality, whilst remaining true to this thing of ours. Be creative, impress us! Yes, my primary interests are money-orientated, but that doesn't mean I'll set up the first applicant that comes along. In a time where we hear plentiful cries of "too many leaders", it is important to me that we set people up who add value to the streets of New York. They need to be of quality. NY cannot be run into the ground just to line my pockets. Infact, my own profits will be maximised by appointing the right leaders, leaders under which the NY districts can flourish and grow. So, to this point, all applications received have been declined. We remain open for further applications, but remember, you will not be handed a district without some hard work, thought, drive and intelligence upfront. Whilst I have your attention, let me also clear up the pick pocketing situation in New York. Do it at your own risk. If you pick pocket someone without permission and they shoot at you, I don't wish to hear about it. Take it up with your boss. With that, Guardian wanders back through the wall of bodyguards and into the HQ, eagerly awaiting the next batch of applications. |

Guess that rules slack old me out. Eh, even if you are encouraging people to break bonds with their own families at least you're trying to ensure that we don't end up with another mute, ineffective and quite practically USELESS leader. Kudos. |
