| GAME CHANGE: Sponsors must be Made+ | Started by: Squishy on Sep 30, '14 17:40 |

In a few days time (Enough that lower ranked sponsors can have time required to become made) we will be switching over to requiring sponsors to be of at least made+ in rank. |

I am really torn on the hands thing, its one of those things where it SHOULD be made+, however, sometimes game mechanics should be weighed in more than realism. I am OK with adding in more restrictions for hands that are under ranked however. |

How about you contact the CLs about their sponsors conduct and let them handle such things? Its easy to say these things happen, but much better to give examples and actually approach the people that are to blame.
Thank you for this Squishy. Was bizarre when it was amended to allow lower ranks to invite, but I dare say its actually helped me so I can't complain. |

TyrionLannister use the @ symbol next time so I'm alerted when you talk about me please. I have contacted leaders about this (not this life so no mails available to be pasted) but I highly highly highly doubt they give a fuck or do anything about it. It's extremely easy to say "oh I didn't know I'll handle it" and do nothing. Those leaders who aren't on to help their new players who are sponsors shouldn't even be leaders as they don't have the time to lead properly. Or you have those who are on a decent amount of time but just don't care and for some reason got authed. |

Your comment was directed at the CLs in general, so I responded. It was more for people like minded than a personal attack at you Kratos, hence I saw no need to actually @ you. We do share the same view in this regard, I cannot stand whoring. But it's still far too easy to blame "CLs" without any examples. How can we understand the level of the issue, if we don't know if there is any current issues with recruitment? I would suspect that most people these days contact those working their jobs, so that can't exactly be "whoring" now, can it? That person has worked for you, you are then offering a more long term role of employment by approaching to invite them to your crew. So I feel the job board has moved a step forward to eliminating the whoring aspect, but I agree its unlikely to be gone entirely. |

This is the only one I have left in my mail box now. This isn't whoring but in my mind it's just not the correct way to recruit. Whilst I was still unsponsored I was contacted by Johnny_Bravo and he sent me a nice Rp message (I no longer have it). Now I don't know how long it took him to write it but I can't imagine too long, so if everyone took more than 30 seconds and put time into their message they'd get me every time unless I 110% knew where I was going like this time. Some people say Rp doesn't work well with new players, but that is bullshit. Granted this is months ago when I had more time to play, be a good sponsor and what not but I had a good Rp like Johnny and I recruited 10+ people in a month for my current crew at that time most new players. This may have been an isolated experience but eh |

If the alternative to "are you new around here..." recruiting mails is copy/pasting a three paragraph mail with an italicized intro of a guy lighting a cigarette and walking over to you to say "These streets ain't safe around here without a crew..." blah blah blah ' I'd say both are pretty much the same thing in essence. At least those are the two variations I see the most.

This change is now active. You must be mademan or higher in rank in order to be a sponsor. Those who are are still under are grandfathered in. |
