Jimmy steps out into the cold bloodied street. A stern look upon his face he calls out to the people gathered round looking at once use to be a busy street So its not even been over 24 hours that the last war is over and I have already had 9 requests for auth. People from my family and people from other families. Now first off, to those seeking auth from other families, I take it as a sign of disrespect towards your leader that you would even come to me about auth. They have offered you a home and protection and you come directly to me saying you want to pledge allegiance to me? This is something that will not be allowed to happen.. I got people within my own family who have worked hard for me and deserve there own. No worries though I am not gonna rat you out. Today you get a pass. As of today if somebody comes to me requesting auth, they will be escorted out of my office and forcefully removed from before my presence. Should they persist, they will have an arranged meeting with some of my less savory associates. I am tired of hearing the "Oh I've worked so hard I think I deserve it....You think you deserve it? You deserve nothing. You deserve what your leader thinks you deserve. Put in your work and show the leaders you can be trustworthy and trust me you will not be overlooked. Then we have the cranky "OMG YOU TURNED ME DOWN" Yes I turned you down. Don't like it? Too bad. Get lippy with me and I'll make sure to ask your leader to send you swimming. This is a good reason why you were probably not authed in the first place. Moral of the story? If you deserved auth, you'd have it already. Don't have your people contact my people. If I'm dying to have you in bold, you'll be there. Capisce? He turns around and lights a match and takes a cigar from his pocket.He lights his cigar and tosses the match into the air as he makes his way back to his headquaters. |

I never understood why anyone would ask for auth. Talk about getting off on a bad foot! Then again, most bosses don't really care if they suck or leave any sort of legacy at all, so why should they care if they are soliciting for auth rather than having it offered? If you deserve your own family, it will be offered to you. If you are asking for it, you are showing that you are undeserving before you even get started, because your first act as a potential CL is groveling before another person. |

Listens to the Godfather speak to the public.. nodding his head in agreement at most of what is said If a mobster approaches the Godfather directly and asks for permission to start their own family (They better have plenty of suitcases full of cash.. or), obviously they need to take a step back and remember the unwritten rules that dictate how our world is run, and what happens when you cross that line. To be a leader you must achieve a certain rank in our world, and I would hope if one was given that rank he would understand we have a 'Chain of Command, or a Family Structure' and if you break that chain, you show disrespect to your family, their family and to the very meaning of our criminal world and there can be consequences, and of course people have the ability to weight that out and make their own decision on what to do. Takes a few notes, to give to the new mobsters who have hope of one day running their own family Things take time around these parts, and becoming a leader in our world is what nearly every mobster dreams about... So you must ask yourself, if you are one of those who want auth.. Look around the street at all the active mobsters, and simply the numbers in our world of leaders vs mobsters.. you better make yourself shine, cause high rank wont cut it.. What makes you stand out, and what do you do that would make your leader and the Godfather want to put their trust and reputation on the line.. to give you a family in this uncertain times we live in. |

Leadership is a job of constant burden and peril especially without the right people to back you via the structure and allies, and not the cup of tea some people make it look. Your family nurture you in some cases, and make you what you are; why throw it in their face by saying i want to be a leader now and abandon all the protection you have offered me and help me be what i am. And to want to try and replace those who's soil over the grave is still warm is an insult |

Marietta applauds Godfather Jimmy wildly, holding her hands up into the air and shouting: "AMEN!" Blushing slightly she places her arms back down at her side and clears her throat. I too have been receiving many, many requests for authorization to start crews lately, and it desperately needs to stop. My 'in' tray on my desk is overflowing with letters!" "I know that when families die and cities go down people do not stop to mourn for those that were lost for but five minutes. Oh Heavens no. People see this as a golden opportunity to get what they want out of this thing of ours. Let me be the second to say, since Godfather Jimmy has already made this speech, that today is not your golden day." "As the great man has said, and I will echo, if you deserve the auth, it will be granted to you. Don't prove this to me by a lengthy letter written to myself or my Right Hand. No, prove that you want it through your actions. Through your words. Through your activity. If you are not the cre de la cre of the everyday society or for your family, how can we possibly notice you?" "So get out there and prove it. And no. For your information a speech on 'why I deserve auth' is not considered activity, and I will most likely shoot you for it." Once more the lady flashes a smile at the Godfather, nodding towards him in agreement. |

Walks into the streets dyed with the blood of the past fallen There need not be a statement made after two God Fathers have spoken upon such a issue, but I understand that this is the mob and everyone has grand aspirations! But mind you ask around, ask the fallen Don's from the past war and ask them how they got Auth? And not one will tell you they ASKED for it. Its like getting Made, you Earn it!!! My late father was sitting in front of his TV watching the Super Bowl when he got the call to come to the HQ of Relentless to discuss Bold business...he was too busy having his beers and watching touchdowns, not concerned about boldness at all.
