ok so i know right off the bat about 5 people who will disagree with this idea simply because they would have something to lose if it is implemented but what i am suggesting is that helpdesk and admins be held to the same rules (IE: not being able to hold a position of power) my reasoning behind this is simple helpdesk much like admin's are a seperate class of users that are not just here to play the game helpdesk to my knowledge has access to tickets which could in turn give them a advantage when viewed (im not accusing anyone of doing this) many people open helpdesk tickets for a variety of reason HOWEVER not everyone thinks "wait what if my in game enemy knows this information and uses it against me" given the recent discussion of admin's wanting to make clear cut rules i feel helpdesk is in such a grey area they themselves need clear cut rules as well so why not make them follow the same rules as administrators? |

I'm not so sure about including Helpdesk in this, because Helpdesk don't have a huge amount of power, and it'd mean a lot of people would be put off applying to be Helpdeskers, which would be bad for the game because Helpdesk solely relies on players being willing to invest their time. But I do think that anything above Helpdesk, for instances, Assistants, should be bound by the same rules as the admins. There doesn't seem to be a huge amount of difference between that and the admin role, so it doesn't make a whole lot of sense, in my opinion, to not bind that position by the same rules. If a member of staff can correct me on my lack of seeing the difference between the two though, I'd be interested to know what the difference officially is. |

Helpdesk has access to the helpdesk inbox. They can not see your past names, your email, or any identifiably thing about your account unless you tell them. They can not see your stats, your sign up answers, who you wacked, you who hitlisted, nothing. They see the mail that you sent them. They also have the ability to admin wack you, remove your picture, jail you, all of which are very public things. If there is something that you feel is very private that you do not any particular helpdesker to see and answer, then mail one directly so then they are the only ones that receive your mail. There is no advantage gained from being helpdesk, and therefor, to not allow them to play the very same game they enjoyed so much that they wanted to start helping other people with it - -that would be very counterproductive. |
