Louis Gato sat in thought at his desk, in Detroits Gato's Buscetta Pasta. Flicking a cigarette out the window, he stood and placed his hands into his pockets, watching the crowds in the streets below in slight wonder if they knew any better "See in their world, this is how it should be, a happy, bustling market place, not a care for anything to disrupt their routine..." As he spoke, a young man suddenly lay cause for the shopkeepers to cry out, uproar filled the stall-lined sidewalks as men gave chase to a youth clutching a bag "See, that has disrupted their way of life and in their community, their mind set, it shouldn't be and should they catch that thug then they'll punish him for it. That was right on cue, in fact" He turned away from the window and lit up another cigarette, tossing his lighter back onto the desk in slight annoyance. He motioned to Cruel to pull up the files on the days events. Though his nerves were strained, Louis hid it as best he could. Taking time to breath, roll his head and count to 10 in his thoughts did Gato a lot of favours. His regime had held up well during and after the conflict, though it hit the man hard to see both his fellow captains, Digger and Obizzle, succumb to their wounds as well as the numerous friends he held dear loose their lives at the cost of war on both sides, things had settled nicely. His HQ had been bustling with activity as members without homes became comfortable, sat around the same tables, enjoying drinks with the likes of Santoro and Ttrapani, within his businesses. Today undid all of that though "Ok, so aside from those punks who wanted to rule from their own little underground bunker, why else are we down in earnings?" Cruel handed him a few files with photos attached in the top left corner, Louis took them and browsed. The pair had been through quite a day, misleading information that had wrongly put his trusted and most irreplaceable Left Hand in the frame, and they were lucky and relieved to be on the other side of that. "Christ. I'm sick of people committing to a cause and then bailing, just because their friends set up. I want you to let it be known, anyone within the ranks of The Gato Regime will stay in those ranks unless dead, I'm sick of this shit" |

| Good for you, that seems to be an issue in lots of crews right now because of all the new crews popping up, everyone thinks if they switvh they will become a hand or at least they hope. In the mafia you cant just peace out of your family and disrespect your boss for more potential personal gain, you would be shot. The mafia is about living FOR your family and serving them loyaly. Glad this is being brought up as it bothers me that people just think they can switch families and become a leader in there new family, you should imo be in your same family from when yoyr a gangster to either when you are authed for your own family or killed. Thats just my opinion though :P I like the idea of building stronger from within, without the outside assistance. :) | |

don gato!!! once again i completey agree with u..............damn why are u always right?............ in some respet it easy to think "ok my bro has a fam ill join him",once our fathers pass and the new children enter our world we are all on an even playing feild.........if this is the case, that you want to and you can join '"one of your bro,s crew" then surley out of respect u must commit suicide or retire.........surley that must be the right thing to do? I mean picking the right crew for you is the most important thing?...but even said that just because of your father doesnt mean that you deserve to get the promotion,just because of reputation, surley once again yuo have to earn!!! Sitting next to Louis having just read through the files regarding today's events, Cruel nodded in agreement to what his boss had just announced. It had been a bad day for Cruel since the moment he woke up. He thought he ws still dreaming, actually, more like a nightmare. His honorable and much love title of LHM had been stripped and his gun had been swiped. He was all alone. He spotted his Godmother close by, next to her lay quite a few bodies of The Gato Regime... "Ma'am! Dear Godmother, what on earth is going on?!" Marietta looked at Cruel and told him to calm down, there had been some malicious information claiming there to be an undergound crew within Detroit's ranks. These people claimed LouisGato's LHM (me!) recruited them! I recruited them, recruiting is one of my jobs within thee family. But not intentionally knowing the individuals plans. I was gutted i had rcruited such tards into our fine city. At least they have been found out and dealt with. 'Underground crews' are something i strongly dis-agree with, the only crew you are in is your family. Cruel then re-examined the case files, cleared his throat and continued.. Moving on to another incident which has sadly bought more death to our members. A new auth was given to Juice_V in New York City. It never went so well but i do not want to talk about that here. When Juice_V set up some members within TheGatoRegime wanted to leave so they could join their friend in NY. They then persisted to pester about us dropping them so they could pack their bags and move to a little HQ in NY. I don't think so. When they joined TheGatoregime they pledged loyalty, well they lost that loyalty when they demamded to leave. These members became worthess and went swimming. Losing loyalty means you have lost honor. This brings us to the old clique: What is left when honor is lost? Cruel sits back down and continues to discuss matter with Louis |

| At the end of the day, there is no bigger kick in the teeth then someone wanting to leave for such reasons. They associated themselves with your family and should have the loyalty to protect and grow with the family as you protect them. | |

again captain i do agree with you..... but i think the main issue here is that AUTH was givn to this person after repeated upset on there b-half, its not a case of telling sumone how to run there city,but it is a case of this person representing there former crew and there godfather. again i ask (hopefully not out of hand,or upsetting the wron people), on what basis do people get authed?. |

| i think is difficult to say who gets auth and why, but someone must see something in them for them to get it. family loyalty, friendship, great hitman, good with newer players or just trust except in NY where is more about filthy lucre; but is a fun experiment to see how people react to it. | |

It is a shame to hear that certain people are wanting to infiltrate The Gato Regime, but yet it should also be looked upon as WE are doing something right, but how are we to know the intentions of the bastards when we sign them up? Just like In the real-life world of mobsters, once you are made family, you are family for life. The "try then fly" practice used by many in the game of Mobsters is not even remotely thought of in real-life mobsters. Simply put, there's only one way out of the family - with a toe tag (if anyone ever finds the body). The Gato Regime is not a family for testing your appetite on. From this day forward, any mobster electing to join the Gato Regime must be ready for a long-term commitment if accepted. Likewise, any member of the Gato Regime who causes such grave disrespect towards the family and our rules that they must be removed from the family - that mobster shall be made a Permanent Target. Being accepted into a family so soon was a fantastic turn of events for Sir Col, he was very unhappy to find that loyalty was not being shown the his new family... the Gato family who welcomed him with open arms.... Overhears the words of a wise Don. After listening, Mikey gives his view on the topic. I understand your frustration Don Gato. I really do. I mean this life is built around family. What becomes of family when one wants to leave? Your view I believe is the only one in my mind. You protect someone while they make a living underneath you. While you tax them for protection and so on. When someone takes the Oath, there's no turning back from the family. The ceremony, from what I've heard about in my father's old journals, clearly states that you will burn if you betray your family/friends. And when you said, "I'm sick of people committing to a cause and then bailing, just because their friends set up.", I couldn't agree more. Your only true friends are the ones you serve with within the family. I love the speech though. Great way to get the troops motivated and back to earning. Walks awhile with a fat cigar in his mouth, puffing away... |
