After surveying all of the empty suitable buildings in the district of Black Bottom in Detroit, he had finally found the perfect building that he was looking for. It was an old red brick building, it had a few bulletholes here and there from a recent firefight which had taken place not too long ago when a friend of his, Geno, took over the district. Geno had taken him along with him when he had become the Godfather of the city. That firefight assured his, and his fellow man's, place in this town as well. “The Reverend” as they called him wanted to have the newest bar since Vladimir had opened up not too long ago, a place to call his own you might say.

He cleaned up the outside of the outside of the building as best as he could, ignoring the bulletholes in the process. The bulletholes was one of the main things that he wanted to stand out on the building itself, as a sign of progress. A new beginning for Detroit. He had ordered several cases of beers, wines, whiskeys, and assorted liquors, both hard and not, which had arrived there the day before and were already set up inside.  He finished cleaning off the doors and walked into the building, but not before placing a sign in front of the building which said  “The Church.” underneath the name of the bar was also inscribed “Desmand you will never be forgotten. To you, I owe everything.” He then started calling some of his friends to tell them to come and check out what he had set up over the last few days hoping that they would like it. He then got himself a beer, placed another bottle on the counter for Desmand, and then placed one on the table nearest the door, which would be changed out every single day as well as the one for Desmand would be. He then makes a silent toast, and salute, to his lost boss, mentor, and lifelong friend, Desmand. He then takes a sip of his own beer and sits down on the stool behind the bar.

Report Post Tip

Walking down he was initially confused as he wondered if the building was a simple memorial. a bar or an institute to a great man taken before his time.  Walking down further, the faint smell of beer and liquor perforated the air, as the slightly sticky step showed more.  Walking on a little further, he heard the faint sound of chatter as he approached the bar.

Hearing the man announce the drink for Desmand, he walked on to collect one of his own.   Reflecting back on all those who had been lost along te way he sighed lightly as he dropped deep in thought.  Sipping lightly he looked over, before pouring another before slumping backwards into the seat.
