There they sat, in a small coffee shop in a small street in Silver Lake, sharing a light breakfast. Vicodin and Midol were gazing out of the large glass windows that riddled the small shop, viewing the sunrise.

"This will be a long day..", he muttered to himself. Vicodin and Midol were working tirelessly creating small unions in newly formed construction companies, managing in the process to get a strong grip on the business sector of the city. Shrugging, Midol put down the fork that was impaled in a piece of her pecan pancake and turned towards him.

"Oh, suck it up. You can go to sleep when we get home." she snapped, picking her fork back up and taking another bite.

Finishing their breakfast and heading outside, Vicodin's bodyguard, Hansen, opened the door to their Cadillac V-16 for the two and entered the driver's seat before starting the car and heading towards Wilshire Boulevard. Arriving, the two notice a slew of union workers, with various criminal figures dotted around the crowd. Stepping outside, Vicodin and Midol made their way through the crowd towards a small corner of the sidewalk, walking through a line of wheelchaired men lined up in front of an erected podium. Waving her arms furiously, Midol signals Vicodin towards the podium before yelling at a nearby heckler. Standing on the podium, Vicodin locked his eyes on the crowd.

Well, it's that time of year again - tax season.

However, this is not your everyday normal tax. After a few words with my boss, Prozac, and consulting with Midol, we've decided to throw our hat into the ever-growing tax business that has changed our country.

As I said at the start, however - this is not your normal tax.

Taking a look at our business sector, I noticed things have been.. lacking, to say the least. Which is why, today, I have decided to implement a tax and return system for the business district for the City of Los Angeles.

Anyone who wishes to set up a business in the district of Los Angeles will be required to pay a weekly tax on the business they have decided to build here. However, it doesn't end here - I don't plan on kicking an industry while it's down by implementing a direct tax on them.

For any visitor that frequents your business, The Pharmacy will pay a set amount of cash for that visitor. How does this work?

For business owners wishing to set up in Fairfax Avenue, the rates are as follows.

Weekly Tax: $30,000

Between 1 visitors and 20 - $800
Between 21 visitors & 60 - $1300

For business owners wishing for an area in Harbor Gateway, the rates are as follows.

Weekly Tax: $60,000

Between 1 visitors and 15 - $1900
Between 15 and 40 visitors - $2000
Between 41 visitors and 70 visitors - $2200

And last, but certainly not least - our very own Wilshire Boulevard.

Weekly Tax: $90,000

Between 1 visitors and 15 - $2200
Between 16 visitors and 30 - $2800
Between 31 visitors and 60 - $4100

To clarify, when you reach a new number of visitors (e.g. Harbor Gateway - 41 and up) your rate will be retroactive and you will receive the new rate for all previous visitors.

To prevent abuse of this system, I have hired a business manager to oversee the Los Angeles business district and review new businesses that have been built.

Los Angeles members are exempt from this tax and are entitled up to half of the visitor benefits stated above.

If you wish to purchase a space, contact Midol or myself to discuss rates and location - you will not be taxed for the first week of existence for your business, and will be entitled to full benefits for whichever plan you have chosen.

In the grand scheme of things, I'm confidant this will spark more activity in our district with the help of the business entrepreneurs in our society - and I look forward to seeing the results.

Standing in the crowd, Ember takes note of Vicodin's words. After he steps off the podium, she advances toward him in order to have a word or two.

Congrats on your new business ventures, Vicodin. Hopefully this will encourage more business in our area and promote competition and camaraderie between our fellow entrepreneurs. I am looking forward to a more plentiful business district and a prosperous LA.

Ember shakes his and and flashes a smile before stepping onto the streets and heading off back to her own shop

Its a pleasure to see a leader out in the streets with actual important information that is relevant to the world we live in, and that is not a joke like everything in our world has become.

Our business in our cities has fallen, or become a joke and I hope this will help move us in the right direction - starting with LA. I own a pool hall in Las Vegas which is nearly empty all the time, but im hoping eventually Las Vegas (our great city of lights) will eventually be filled with some sort of leadership and business can once thrive again there.

Good luck Vicodin and you seem to have a very firm grasp on business practices and have a lot of help and support behind you.
