Hey correct me if im wrong but wasnt there BootLegging back in these times? Why not make it an addition to the game i mean drugs are fine and all but they wasnt a big money maker back in the 30s We could use the Drinks to sell to Local bar's and people could actually make money off the drinks it would be their supply.. I know i will get booed for this Thought but let me have it :) ~Lucky~ |

I've sort of toyed around with this myself. I'll get bitched at for this, but, to my current extent of knowledge, there were no to very few drugs during the thirties. Plus, it would put an interesting spin on things.

I like this one Lucks. Almost eery major gangster back then(now) went into Bootlegging. Two good examples are Al Capone and Dutch Shultz. It would make this game even more awesome with that in addition, I can't pick a good rank for it though. I think it would make the game more realistic in all.

another thought could be is the influence cars had on bootlegging...even if it is as simple as betting on a car race, someone having a customs shop.

-- The game already addresses illegal transport and sale of alcohol, and businesses can be run however the proprietor chooses. This, I would have to say, offers the most opportunities and possibilities to players to handle this aspect of the game and history as they see fit. -- There were drugs in the 30s, there just weren't rappers on television exclaiming their love for said substances. Popular rap of those days tended to revolve around major news stories (see: "I Fucked Amelia Earhart" and "Who Capped Laissez-faire?"). -- Trucks? |

Ofcourse drugs were around but they wasn't big and they didnt really become popular until the 50's(Before rap) Even small time petty thugs in the 30's were in bootlegging And CharlesLuciano started off that way....so did alot of other mobsters |

Yes, and that's reflected in the game, with grain alcohol being a traffickable substance. Sure, maybe the prices drugs sell at and the order of value is skewed for the time period, but that's no real major problem. And all the cool people in the 30s were way into rap. I hear Roosevelt's flow remains unrivaled to this very day. |

Whiskey is a grain alcohol. The fact that it is in with drug sales is a way of "bootlegging" is it not? |
