| IRC Notifications into G1 or G2 | Started by: Barry on Nov 09, '14 23:25 |

I raised this in another thread and enkindle mentioned it was being considered but as yet no plans to integrate. That thread didn't really seem the appropriate place for the discussion to take place; hence this. My suggestion is that the IRC notifications be integrated into the game somewhere so that people who aren't on IRC get the same opportunity as those who are. I find it a little strange that the majority of the users are excluded from these beneficial developments and these announcements are restricted to an external chat room. With the continued development and improvement of the chat system, this seems like a perfect opportunity to bring the rest of the game into the fold, either with these announcements directly into G1 or G2, or even an additional 'A' for announcements. Thoughts and discussion welcome. |

I support this wholeheartedly. Either using the chat system or the toast system, I think it would be nice to get that info out to all players not just ones on IRC. |

In a future version of chat, all you will see pretty much all features of IRC integrated into the game. As of now, everyone has the ability to be on chat, between mibbit, kiwi, and direct connection through a client, everyone has access to enjoy the benefits that IRC can give you. Certain features are used specifically to draw users to IRC, and will not be integrated into the game chat, instead they will be removed (Like the credits on the 20s, DFP notifications and some) once IRC like environment is fully integrated into the game. |

I guess I just don't really understand the desire to drive people to IRC, but I'm glad to hear that integration is planned for the future. |
