Bringing the Business Back with a Bang! Started by: KittieCapone on Mar 31, '09 02:36
Kittie steps out of the taxi that had taken her from the airport into the business district of LA and nearly trips over a bum laying over a grate. Just as she is about to scold the man for laying in her way she recognizes his face and quickly stifles the criticism. What is HE doing here? She shakes her head and climbs the steps that lead into her newest business venture, The Un-Lucky Dragon. Clearing her throat she begins nervously but gains strength as she speaks to those to assemble.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I've decided to address a vital but often overlooked problem. Lately I have noticed that no matter where I fly I see men and women who are involved in this thing of ours who sleep in taxi cabs and eat soda crackers and peanuts that they steal from the drink cart on the plane. I see fine mafiosi walking around in suits that have holes and loose threads and much, much worse, I have seen several people injured or killed with their own guns. I have pondered why this is, why people who should be setting an example are beginning to look like people in the soup kitchen lines and it finally dawned on me.

Businesses. Businesses are the heart and soul of our community. Whether you need a hotel room, a tailor, gambling parlor, whore house or place to eat, our communities provide these vital services.

I encourage everyone here to visit the businesses in whatever town you travel to and get to know not only the other people around you, but also the heart and soul of each city you travel to.

Thank you and I look forward to seeing you in any of the businesses I own!

Kittie turns and walks into the Un-Lucky Dragon hoping that her words might bring some life back into the once flourishing neighborhoods she loves so much.

Thank you both.

The business districts are where a lot of moving and shaking gets done. I certainly hope more people start utilising this arena.

During his morning stroll down the streets, Brick noticed one of his trusted directors at Elegido stressing the importance of business. He looked around at the crowd, and watched to make sure people were listening. Those who weren't got a swift kick in the ankle and an expression that told them they should. He smiled, and wanted to make a few comments before moving on.

Thank you Kittie. Businesses are very important to this thing of ours. If only to use as a front for our other endeavors. I, personally, have two restaurants in these cities, and try to frequent others when I can. We all gotta eat, right? And I can't stand those stale peanuts they try to give me on the planes.

I am committed. I will try to do better at establishing and maintaining businesses throughout this country. Though that tax thing in LA is a little steep for me. Perhaps I will just visit establishments there.

Very good advice Kittie. This is a big problem with people mainly sticking to the streets.
