MickeyRourke; His Final Hours - PRT4 | Started by: Frankie_Gogolak on Apr 02, '09 21:26 |
Carry On From: MickeyRourkey; His Final Hours. PRT1 MickeyRourkey; His Final Hours. PRT2 MickeyRourkey; His Final Hours. PRT3 With Mickey dead, the Relentless family were on standby, nobody knowing what was going to happen next, was it all over for them? or could something be sorted out to protect the family members and the family name.. It was said that Mickey had asked Hypno to set up to protect the family should anything ever happen to him, but I'm not sure if that was just speculation, and even if it was true, would Marietta allow it to happen considering it's her city.. I was there when Hypno got a phone call from one of Marietta's Don's, Mac..saying that Marietta wanted to see him as soon as possible, I was kind of hoping this was going to be about Hypno getting authed in Detroit to re-build the family, but I didn't know, only time would tell.. Hypno: Right Frankie, I have to go, stay here and hold the fort, make sure no one comes in or goes out while I'm gone, this family is on the high risk alert while we have no leader. Frankie: Yes sir, I'll do what I can. Hypno made his way outside the HQ and stepped inside the black limo that was previously owned by MickeyRourkey Later that day.. A few hours had past and there was still no sign of Hypno, should I be worried? perhaps Mickey's death has no given the leaders of Detroit an easy target to gun down the families RHM.. What the hell was I thinking, this is Detroit, a city filled with love, respect and honour from everyone controlling it, I have no doubt Hypno is in safe hands.. MY phone rang.. Hypno: Frankie, I'm calling a meeting, have everyone in the upper structure to meet in the main room of the HQ, we are going through some changes Frankie: Yes sir, whats going on? Hypno: All will be explained when I get back I rushed into Mickey's old office and made the announcement over the Mic that spreads over the HQ, it didn't take long for everyone to get together, it was pretty impressive, I almost had the sudden urge to ask everyone to start dancing, but probably wouldn't be the smartest move considering recent events, not a lot of people still have their sense of humour.. I went upstairs to the main room where everyone had gathered around the table, talking amongst each other trying to guess whats going on, but I was sure I knew, but wasn't going to jinx it by saying anything.. Moments later, Hypno pulled up outside, we watched from the window as he came walking up to the main door looking through some papers, we all looked at each other in a feeling of some sort of excitement or nerves, it was a weird feeling, I think it was all just mixed.. Hypno sounded like an elephant coming up the stairs, he always has stamped his feet about, no idea why though, he has quite small feet..hmm.. Upon entering the main room, Hypno immediately got started with what he wanted to say.. Hypon: Right guys, listen up, here's the deal, Marietta has granted me permission to carry on from MickeyRourke as the new leader of Relentless and we are going to have some huge changes around here.. Hypno took a moment to look around the room to see who he had listening, he began writing in his notebook, it was so tempting to just lean over and see what he was writing, but my god, I just wasn't brave enough.. Hypno: You sir, you are the new hit squad leader.. ... You over there, you are the new witness statement collector ... And you... Frankie: Me? Hypno: Yes, you.. ... Your still a pain in the arse... Hypno smiled as he said it, but I wasn't too sure whether he was actually joking or not.. Hypno: I need you to go back to Chicago and escort Mickey's body back to Detroit for his funeral I was unsure why Mickey's body would need an escort, it wasn't like it was going to get up and go anywhere..but all the same, I agreed and booked my flight for the same day ......... The day was passing rapidly, hours had gone by since the meeting, I had already gone and come back from Chicago, Mickey's body was secured in a local Detroit funeral home and Hypno was already making his impact on new leadership with great success As the days passed, Mickey's death was slowly getting easier to come to terms with, heart broken still, laying awake at night feeling sorry for myself knowing I should have done more to save him, refusing to stay downstairs while he went up to get Xavier..so many things could have been done different, but fact remained, Mickey's death did happen and it was time I carried on with my life as a Mafioso and continue my reign under the Relentless Regime and work my way up to the top to the best of my abilities, because after all, Mickey told me to make him proud, and I sure as hell wasn't prepared to let him down.. As the Relentless family carried on with business, going through the days doing their usual drug dealings and bootlegging activities, the day came where it was time to finally say our last goodbyes to our former Don, MickeyRourke, a day in which we had all not been looking forward to.. It was Monday, 3rd of February 1942, just over a week since Mickey's passing, the family were all dressed in black pin-striped suits, black ties, white shirts and black tribune hats.. Mickey's coffin was slowly lowered in the back of the Hurst by 6 of his former bodyguards, each sharing their own tears..the back was shut and we slowly made our way to the graveyard As the hurst dove through the streets of Detroit followed by 11 black limos, people gathered the streets, removing their hats and placing them on their hearts to show their final respects.. Coming up to the gates of the graveyard, the car Hypno was in suddenly stopped, which led to all the other cars stopping, Hypno got out and held his face with his hands, with this, myself and Mac jumped out of our cars and ran over to him.. We both placed our hands on Hypno's shoulders and bowed our heads.. Frankie: It's going to be alright sir, you can do this.. Mac: You can sir, don't let Mickey see you like this, he might just come down and slap you with a trout.. Trying not to giggle, Hypno stood straight, wiping his face, he ordered the cars to carry on and he'll meet them in there.. Hypno: Give me a few moments on my own guys, please Frankie/Mac: Yes sir, we'll see you in there. Mac and I walked into the graveyard together whispering to each other and giggling about all the funny times they had, had with Mickey Frankie: I'll never forget when I first joined his family, Hypno told me he was female, so for the first few days, I thought he was a cross dresser, what a tit I felt when I found out Hypno was just pulling my leg.. Mac: Haha, I remember the time in the coffee shop Mickey had brought in this giant trout he had just fished out from the local lake, he came in and just started slapping everyone around the face with it, I think it's one of those things where you had to be there, but it really was funny, I was one of the lucky one's who didn't get bitched slapped by a dead fish.. Frankie: Some may call it lucky, others may call it being left out.. hehe.. :P Approaching Mickey's final resting place, everyone gathered around holding their heads down while the priest stood in the middle facing Mickey's coffin which was being held above the grave..
I stood up and walked towards the priest, standing beside him, I bowed my head and took a moment to remember what a great man and friend, we had all lost..
As I finished with my speech, Mickey's coffin was slowly lowered into the ground, with members of the family throwing pinches of soil onto the top of it saying their final goodbye's, I looked back to see Hypno, his face was flushed, pale like he had just seen a ghost, his eyes looked up at me and slowly, a smile grew on his face, he walked over to me and tapped my arm before throwing a pinch of soil onto Mickey's coffin --LATER THAT DAY-- As the family were enjoying the wake, I went into the back gardens where a bench had been placed in memory of Mickey, I sat down on it with my glass of champagne and took a moment to think about how much things had changed since joining the Mafia.. "Mickey was dead..Hypno was now Don of Relentless, I had been given my promotion of Made Man and the family was bigger and better than ever before, things for Relentless were finally looking up and I was hoping Mickey was looking down upon me with pride as I walked the streets of Detroit being everything he had ever taught me to be...a Mafioso..." THE END OOC NOTE: In the event of Whack Back, there is no story behind it, so therefore, I would just like to declare that nothing in this story really took place, I had nothing to do with the IA hunting and no one mentioned in this story was involved |

A remarkable tale, and a good way to honor a man's life. Mickey was someone that I still to this day feel the anguish over the loss over, but knowing that you were here to celebrate his life (and death) reminds me that he lives on in many of us. Very well done, Frankie. Hope you're watching us from above, Mick. |
