It puts it into perspective for you though. And in all fairness, you did what no other woman has done in a while (at least while I've played) by being of a very high rank in a sea of men. More power to you, I respect that very much. And I can only imagine how bad it is. Godfather can only extend so far in terms of what it implies. Godmothers are just as important, and because there's a female in the male dominated system it's like automatically assumed that you don't deserve it or you're just a woman. Just remember honey, you've got the big shiny gun :). And you can point it whoever you want. Power is sweeeet. |

And in all fairness Rourkey, I haven't been messaging all the newbies. I've had some who have just ignored it, which I'd rather they do than sit there and attempt to bitch me out only because I was being nice. It's like freaking out for no reason. I know if I were in their shoes I'd rather someone be nice to me than be shot for no reason later. I'm still considered new in a sense and I knew better when I was in low rank than to mouth off, although I do slip on occasions now :\. My point is, if you're a civilian and you're completely uncertain as to what you're doing, telling someone who's trying to be nice to pretty much piss off isn't the way to go. Or at least calling them a bitch. Gr. |

Rourkey, sitting on the docks with a warm tuna sandwich and a smile *IS* my job description. All I do is say hello, and ask if they need directions. I never ask if they need a family as I don't want to insult anyone who has some one waiting for them at Ellis Island. And for the record, for every bum who stumbles off the boat and pukes on my shoes, there are five people who at least say hi and a few others who are genuinely happy to see a welcoming face. I also do my crew's laundry but that's another tale. |

I agree with Kittie. I mean I don't know how many rude newbies you come across Rourkey, but I'm sure you can relate as we have all been there. I'm sure that story would be interesting. You can use info from Marietta, Kittie and myself :). And I think my favorite time I got dissed (sarcastically, of course) was when I was shot at by a goomba and so I confront him thinking he'd just talk it over with me and tell me what was up and after he tried to bitch me out, he ended the conversation calling me a "gender confused dickend." ...What? A. I'm a girl, and I'm very much aware of it. B. What the hell is a dickend? I mean there's probably a literal meaning but seriously? |

Ahahah oh don't worry, he died. I didn't know what to think because I'm VERY short-tempered, so I was like wow... But he died no problem. He got mad because I wasn't fighting back. Sorry that I have a position and an image to uphold. If that, he said I wasn't ballsy enough to hold my position because I wasn't shooting him. I somehow was able to hold back my anger and keep my composure. But I'll admit, it was very funny. Just because I don't even know what to say to that. |

| I think that fact or the matter is they are the same people over and over and they get no farther than earner before getting their head shot off. The higher ranks(Mademan and above) are people who are here to play the game and not to mess around and get killed. They have put in the time and effort to making them selfs a name in this world. | |

Haha I like Roukey's name. And I definitely agree with Dementia. Kudos for your awesome insight. *High fives* I do believe that those who don't plan to get further than Made Man almost shouldn't even play. Sure, it's just a game but it's not like a device to dick around on. A lot of people consider it a big deal, myself included. It's the people who get excited that they made Capo, are honored to be LHM even though the abuse is ridiculous, and those who sit up til 4am through a war that are dedicated (though those aren't the only people, more like examples). I also believe that the same people who are getting killed are the ones who keep starting over and over with no intent to take the game seriously. It's frustrating after a while. I can't imagine how many times the Godparents (Godfather and Godmother, for the sake of Marietta :)) have been shot at or mouthed off to. Sad. |
