Implanting an alcohol market & system Started by: Joseph on Dec 02, '14 16:24

Hi, thanks for reading. Before I detail everything, I'll answer to questions. Consider it as the TLTR.

What is your idea?

Implanting an Alcohol market and services.

What does your idea entail?

As mafioso's, Alcohol is supposed to be one of our principal method of money making. The only "thing" we have about alcohol is alcohol grains which is listed in drugs. They are not drugs and with my idea, I am sure we could give it a better role in this game.

How can your idea be successfully implemented into the game as it stands?

Like drugs, Alcohol will have its own market with my personal ideas. Considering this game been existing for years and drug market still the same. I will suppose it is not impossible to code this suggestion.

What major changes would be needed to make your idea work?

Under "Profit" tab, we would have two new things: BAR(s) and Alcohol Market. Would also have to chance the tittle Drugs to Black Market or something less accurate to drugs. Or, you could add a forth Tittle 100% dedicated to alcohol.

What is the positive impact of your idea?

My idea would bring a new experience to every old players and would give a more realistic experience to every players. Give more responsibilities.

will have to read the long version:

  • More territory fight.
  • More dedication to the game.
  • More responsibilities.
  • more money making methods.

What is the negative impact of your idea?

The only negative point would be that every Boss+ would make more money.

How may your idea affect the rest of the userbase?

The idea will simply encourage them to play a little more often.

Long and detailed version -

You can hate it or love it as long you explain why. If you have any change or suggestion reply and I'll see if it can work. Also, I did the maths very fast. If you see something that makes no sense, tell me I'll fix it ASAP.

Context-

During 1920 to 1933, prohibition in the United States was a nationwide constitutional ban on the sale, production, importation, and transportation of Alcoholic Beverages. While Prohibition was successful in reducing the amount of liquor consumed, it stimulated the proliferation of rampant underground, organized and widespread criminal activities.

With that Story, I will explain how we could implant Alcohol Market.

Part I - Types of alcohol

Level 1: Beer

This is one of the oldest forms of fermented alcoholic beverages. As people across the globe consumed different forms of beer, there are actually many sub types in beer.

Level 2: Cider

Cider is a fermented alcoholic Beverage made out of Apple juice. The Alcoholic content can vary from 3% to 8%. In United States and Germany, people refer to Cider as Apple Wine

Level 3: Basi

This is a fermented beverage popular in Philippines. It is made by fermenting sugarcane

Level 4: Gin

This is a type of distilled spirit that is made from Juniper Berries. There are different types of gin like Damson Gin and Sloe Gin. Damson gin is hugely popular in Britain.

Level 5: Whiskey

This distilled alcoholic beverage is made by fermenting a combination of different grains including barley, malted barley, Rye, Corn and Wheat. The fermented whisky is then allowed to age in wooden casks.

Level 6: Rum

Though consumed in different parts of the globe, rum is extremely popular in Caribbean region and Latin America. This is made by fermenting sugar cane juice or by fermenting molasses, one of the byproducts of sugarcane.

Level 7: Cognac

This distilled alcoholic beverage is a type of brandy and is famous in France.

Part II - How to make alcohol

It would be more simple if we coded another market similar to the Drug's one, but I want it to be different, or else, people would get bored of this game.

To make alcohol, you will have to hire a Corrupted Agent. Once you hired your CA, you will have two choices: Make Drugs, Make Alcohol. If you pick "Make Alcohol" You will have the choice to make different types of alcohol. You will have to pay 20 000/ 12 hours your CA or he will stop making alcohol for you until you pay up. (you will make much more profit. It's just to make sure you don't AFK and farm alcohol)

It would be too easy for higher ranks to be able to make the best type of alcohol, so the alcohol making process will have its own XP and levels. You will start at the bottom and you will gain XP as your CA will make alcohol for you.

*NOTE* Every time you reach next level, your crates reset to 0. So it's 2+4+5+7+11+22 *IMPORTANT*

Level 1: You need to be earner to be allowed to make alcohol. 21 crates / hours (~48 hours/ 2 days before next level)

Level 2: 1000 Crates. 47 crates/ hours (~84 hours/ 4 days before next level)

Level 3: 4000 Crates. 148 crates/ hours (~108 hours/ 5 days before next level)

Level 4: 16 000 Crates. 142  crates/ hours (~168 hours/ 7 days before next level)

Level 5: 24 000 Crates. 136 crates/ hours (~264 hours/ 11 days before next level)

Level 6: 36 000 Crates. 98 crates/ hours (~528 hours/ 22 days before next level)

Level 7: 52 000 Crates. 144 crates/ hours (MAX LEVEL)

The crates required to level up are the total crates you must create, not the owned crates. You can own maximum 2500 crates

Part III - Selling your alcohol

You will have two ways to sell your alcohol. The more profitable and fast way or the less profitable and slow way. One is more safety than the other. I let you guess which one.

I. Selling to the alcohol dealer.

Simply by clicking "Sell Alcohol" you will be able to sell all crates you own, but you will have 35% chances cops will catch you and destroy all units you own.

Level 1: 40$/ Crate (840$/ hour)

Level 2: 43$/ Crate (2021$/ hour)

Level 3: 44$/ Crate (6512$/ hour)

Level 4: 119$/ Crate (16898$/ hour)

Level 5: 191$ / Crate (26000$/ hour)

Level 6: 667$/ Crate (65366$/ hour)

Level 7: 679$/ Crate (97825$/ hour)

II. Selling your alcohol in private.

This system will be similar to the credit Marketplace. Every player will be able to safety sell their alcohol to someone who like taking risks and sell it to the alcohol dealer or/ans he can use his alcohol for his own Bar. the only way to buy alcohol is from private sellers.

Note if you sell your alcohol in private. You can sell it the price it pleases you. sometimes you will have to pay more to be able to manage your bar (see part IV)

Part IV - Owning a Bar

Under Profit>Work or the new Tittle "Alcohol Market" You will have the option "Manager a Bar"

I.0 - Menu

Manage your Bars

        Buy a Bar

        Manage your bars

        Vandalize a bar

I.1 - Buy a bar

Like bodyguards and CA, you will able to own many bars. The only difference, you will have to manage them and keep them up in alcohol.

You can buy a bar for 75 000$

You bar will be able to stock up to 1000 crates.

Your bar will cost 12 000$/ day to pay bills

If provided in alcohol and security, your bar will generate 90 000$/ day

I.2 - Manage your bars

    I.2.1 - Upgrades

You will be able to upgrade your bar once every 24 hours. But you might NOT want to max it after 7 days. Every time you upgrade one of your bar, you will have to provide a new type of alcohol or it will not generate money.

The bill will never change. But you have 3 hours before and after the bill to pay up, or your bar will CLOSE you will LOSE all stocked crates.

Upgrades will increase stocked crates capacity and money generating.

1- 150 000$ -- 130 000$/ day -- 1400 crates

2- 450 000$ -- 185 000$/ day -- 1800 crates

3- 675 000$ -- 254 000$ / day -- 2200 crates

4- 965 000$ -- 550 000$/ day -- 2600 crates

5- 1 450 000$ -- 885 000$/ day -- 3000 crates

6- 2 225 000$ -- 965 000$/ day -- 3500 crates

You might you will make more money from simply selling your alcohol, but this requires less crates to upkeep (see I.2.2)

I.2.2 - Filling your bar with crates

You can stock up 1000 to 3500 crates. you will have to manage your bar and make sure you always have alcohol.

Your bar will consume alcohol :

Some of them start at higher tier because it requires bar upgrade to make available.

Beer -

Tier 1: 2 crates/ hour

Tier 2: 6 crates/ hour

Tier 3: 11 crates/ hour

Tier 4: 17 crates/ hour

Tier 4: 19 crates/ hour

Tier 6: 25 crates/ hour

Tier 7: 31 crates/ hour

Cider -

Tier 2: 2 crates/ hour

Tier 3: 7 crates/ hour

Tier 4: 9 crates/ hour

Tier 4: 13 crates/ hour

Tier 6: 18 crates/ hour

Tier 7: 26 crates/ hour

Basi -

Tier 3: 25 crates/ hour

Tier 4: 36 crates/ hour

Tier 4: 44 crates/ hour

Tier 6: 52 crates/ hour

Tier 7: 62 crates/ hour

Gin -

Tier 4: 26 crates/ hour

Tier 4: 35 crates/ hour

Tier 6: 44 crates/ hour

Tier 7: 53 crates/ hour

Whiskey -

Tier 4: 21 crates/ hour

Tier 6: 41 crates/ hour

Tier 7: 61 crates/ hour

Rum -

Tier 6: 65 crates/ hour

Tier 7: 125 crates/ hour

Cognac -

Tier 7: 74 crates/ hour

    I.2.3 - Security

As your enemy will be able to vandalize your bar, you should set up some protection. We will be realistic on that. 136 guards in a bar is impossible. (imagine it)

With a limit of 9 guards, you will be able to buy 1 guard for 80000$ (only one time payment)

I.3 - Vandalize a Bar.

I am not sure how this would work, maybe you could implant the shooting or pickpocket system, but so far the only thing I've come with:

If the bar has no guard, you have 100% to success the vandalize

1 guard = 90% chance

2 guards = 80%

3 guards = 70%

4 guards = 60%

5 guards = 50%

6 guards = 40%

7 guards = 30%

8 guards = 20%

0 guards = 10%

NOTE that like any crime, anyone can witness you and you will vandalize at your own risks.

That is pretty much all for the idea, you can hate it or love it as long you explain why. If you have any change or suggestion reply and I'll see if it can work. Also, I did the maths very fast. If you see something that makes no sense, tell me I'll fix it ASAP.

Report Post Tip

I'm not sure what tweeks, etc will have to be implemented, but wow, you really showed initiative in this suggestion. I FULLY give My support to this, and think that it should be looked at and considered, even if it doesn't end up exactly like Joseph's math suggested.

Report Post Tip

Nice... Very nice suggestion, well thought out and explained. I'm totally behind this, hopefully there is a way to have this implemented. :)

Report Post Tip

This was so well laid out. Very organized and would be a great addition in my opinion.
