Basically this concept is simple, for all of the "epic" accounts that maxed their ability, achievements and made it to the rank of Godfather, made it over a year old ect... (obviously these requierments can be tweaked) but these profile inevitably will be removed and killed off, but is that it? no memorial or anything. After a while, their burial becomes a long forgotten profile and when you try to search the account you get "That account does not exist". What I am trying to say, maybe we could have a special "Hall Of Fame (HOF) for all of the fallen accounts that has made a huge difference in this thing of ours, such as TheDean, Roman, Premier, DeadlySin still living "TepidDelucci" (epic account thus far) this would have the new players/mafioso's something to look up to, a benchmark if you will, maybe if you get inducted into the HOF you reach an achievement on your next account (only), kind of a right of passage. Once inducted you can be apart of the HOF committee that chooses who is and isn't inducted being said account meets requirements set by the gods to be inducted into the HOF. Any thoughts? (I know it's a long shot) but would be nice to be able to see the HOF'ers and their last profiles forever like a trophy. |

From what I have seen, the legends are already remembered and commemorated via word of mouth and street speeches. So I dont see why this would be needed. thumbs down. |

The greatest achievements/accounts have all done things that can't be measured or recorded, and the idea of a HOF is kinda silly. If they're that famous/good they wouldn't need a HOF to be remembered in the first place... Some of the most impactful accounts that I've seen never reached the highest exp, or the most amount of achievements - does that mean they don't warrant being in the hall of fame? And conversely, just because someone does do those things doesn't mean they've had any impact at all. I just don't see how you would measure this, or even why it would be a positive addition. I can't agree with this! |

Quantitative measurements completely ignore the context and the environment around them.
ThomasRourke never had the biggest number on his shot record, but given the environment he was in (when Death WBs were highly common and targets really were a struggle to find) and the context (he was head and shoulders above his rivals) it's still one of the most impressive guns MR has ever seen. So judging his gun against those of today doesn't show the correct picture and completely ignores many pertinent facts.
It also completely ignores the impact someone has/had on our world. Someone with the highest wack record or the most XP might be completely irrelevant. If they die in the first wave of a war, never opened their mouth, nobody even knew who they were.... do they deserve to be in a "Hall of Fame"?
If someone deserves to be remembered, the community will remember them. Conversations often throw out names like BA, MEM, Ray, Sly, Anita, Oliver, Marietta, the good and the bad of the Rourke clan... and too many others to list. These are based on the true impact those people had on the lives and characters of those around them, not on a meaningless number (which in my opinion would do more to devalue the places of those that truly deserve memory than to honour those that happened to click the right pattern of buttons). |

I'm not really a fan of a hall of fame or some sort of committee deciding who was great and who wasn't. As others have stated already, the community judges and remembers those worthy of such things, so I'm not convinced this is necessary. One thing I would like to see is a list of all the Godfathers and the city/district they became Godfather of, only because I think that could be quite interesting and add some depth to the history of a city/district. |
