Ah, the naivetof youth.. While I'm refreshed to see newcomers, most if not all will need the basic foundations of your speech firmly branded into their minds. All too often you see a young one break one of the very simple basic rules in the form of an insult or a firearm discharge.. All in the name of not knowing. I would add an addendum though - which, is sort of in line with your first rule. Too many times have I experienced young, fresh off the boat men and women asking for their promotion. Crazy, I know - but if there's one thing that will get you on the higher echelon's bad side, is expecting a promotion without putting any sort of work in. Nowadays, most of the working class don't even ask of a promotion as it is tantamount to suicide in the business. But, I guess that's for another day - and another rant. Well put together, Brick. |
