CITY RULES AND REGULATIONS, A BREAK DOWN
Chicago - A "Pickpocket at will" city. If you want to be Pickpocketed here, you will be. If you don't, that will be respected, however, to be counted as someone who doesn't want to be, there needs to be visible disapproval. As of this time there are no additional taxes in place.
Detroit - Detroit is a free city to visit. There is a tax here though, If you plan on shooting "IA's" then you must pay a fee. Marietta's words:
"Detroit is a free city to visit. However, if you plan on doing any shooting of unsponsoreds or IAs, you will have to pay a tax. The tax does not apply to members of your own HQ, say if you were a CL, RH or HSL taking care of a trouble maker.
The fee is 420K per week per individual, or 2 million per family. This is paid directly to myself. Only me and my RH have access to the shooting tax payment records so that hitter confidentiality is kept.
If you default on the loan but have been paying it regularly I have been known to give leeway, however, if you shoot without paying the tax you die by the hands of the RIOT! and your family is notified via the US Postal system."
Las Vegas - Open to all, provided you have the 'cajones' to fly there. See, everything is allowed in the City of Sin. Provided you are feeling lucky.
After all its a city of gambling, do the crime here...you are gambling with what might happen.
Fly there for free, Pickpocketing is okay, hell you can even shoot people, and not just comatose homeless folks, and you just might get away with it. You see if one of the Vegas family see's you they keep the knowledge and they are telling no body! Good luck getting that Witness statement. It's the epitome of "what happens in Vegas Stays in Vegas".
Las Angeles - LA has a restriction on Pickpocketing, only LA families are allowed to pickpocket in the city and they can only Pickpocket other LA families. It's free to visit there, but expect a tax on your business should you decide to start one, but don't fret! Open a good business and you might find the city of LA paying YOU!
New Orleans - Pickpocket friendly. By traveling to these cities one has given unspoken permission to others that their pockets are free for the picking. There is also a travel tax which is applicable to Mademan and above. The going rates per city are: 100k for an individual and 1 mill for a family for travel for one week. Don't fault on your payments though, Zero Tolerance is in affect.
Philly - Both cities are pickpocket friendly. By traveling to these cities one has given unspoken permission to others that their pockets are free for the picking. There is also a travel tax which is applicable to Mademan and above. The going rates per city are: 100k for an individual and 1 mill for a family for travel for one week. Don't fault on your payments though, Zero Tolerance is in affect.
New York - Any person Made Man and up to set up shop within this city with several stipulations:
1. Most importantly, you have the blessing of your current crewleader.
2. You are able to kick up a tribute of $1,000,000 a week to me earned off your operations within the city. The first payment will be made 7 days after you have set up.
3. You will all be equals to each other and will run the day to day operations of my city. That means you make decisions together about if you want a tax in the city, how the business district is run, what contests you'd like to throw, etc. I won't curry favor to any leader, when you're here you work together.
4. You will be restricted to a 25 person HQ upon the initial set-up of your family. Based on your performance in the days and weeks that follow, it will determine whether you can expand or not.
5. You are responsible for your own alliances with other crews in New York or outside the city, and if you get into heat with another family, you have to face the consequences on your own, I'm not here to shield you from the potential danger in the world. Now that's not to say I will let wackhappy people take potshots at you, but if you disrespect a leader in the Streets then you need to be prepared for the consequences.
6. You will be responsible for paying the city taxes in those metropolises that charge them for shooting or criming while holding a certain rank. You don't HAVE to pay them, but if you use those utilities I won't pay for you. You also are accountable to follow any rules that a city sets up, an example being if a city restricts pickpocketing you are responsible to make your crew aware of that.
St. Louis - Access to this city is coming soon, but your best bet is to wait for a family to set up there before starting a business. Rumor's are that setting up a business in the business district before the city is with a family might be frowned upon. I'm sure there will be more stipulations once the city is populated.
