So, after hearing Maxwell's opinions on the role of hitmen in today's society, compared to with what their roles should be. And more specifically, his opinions on the poor attitude some of these "hitmen" seem to show, I've decided to follow it up with a little spech of my own. what do you think is the root of the bad attitude of some hitters which, in extreme cases, leades to a total breakdown of morals and respect more commonly known as "roguery"? Well, it could be all number of things if you think about it. Is it the hitmen themselves? Sure, that's the most obvious reason to give. As I've already said today, everyone must be held accountable for their own actions. So where does this attitude stem from, if it's a character flaw? Well, is it because they believe they're better than the average Joe because they can point a gun straight? The ability to shoot gives them a right to be intimidating and arrogant? Possibly, but I think not. So is it the fault of the leaders of the community? Not just the Crewleaders, but the Right Hand Men, and perhaps most importantly of all, the Hitsquad Leaders. These are after all, the people hitters work with closely. These are the people they develop supposedly strong bonds through everyday camaderie and times of war. I've often said that nothing brings men closer than the shadow of death. So why, if at all, is it the fault of the men and women in power? Have we seen a decline in the importance and respect shown towards hitters make the hitters themselves show the same? Does a patronising, condescending arrogance seep through the family causing disloyalty? It would be easy to say yes, it is always easiest to blame the people in power after all. Even if it is the fault of those in power though, should a hitman be able to grit his teeth and bear it, if only for the good of the family? Finally, and sadly, is it just a case of the community having changed? Does being a hitter mean less than it used to? Why? Has there been a sudden influx of hitters, or have we always had swathes of hitters revelling in their own mediocrity? Maybe there has always been swathes of hitters revelling in their own mediocrity, history just fails to remember them. I am pretty sure, however, that once upon a time, being a hitter was a big big thing. Being invited to the War Chamber was like being made: an honour given to only a select few. It was all about loyalty and respect, to reiterate what Maxwell said. I'm sure I've asked anough questions here, so I'll leave you with just one more. What do you think changed? |

I dont take sides and I dont mean any disrespect but i will tell youz how i see it. "So why, if at all, is it the fault of the men and women in power?" When you give these so called (hitmen) the authority to go around and kill gangsters/goomba and the homeless to train there guns it no wonder you got rogues,Once you let these people get the ability to kill without being in trouble for it,you give them to much freedom and they think they're gods among men. Know i personally know that more than 50% of the people running around calling them selfs hitmen are jokes,I remember days when we would wait for people to come online before killin them. Not sneaking up when there sleeping to kill them...if you cant kill someone while there online you aint a hitmen |

I know but it so much more fun to kill while people are HERE rather than sleeping.Plus i know kill people while there sleeping has been around forever since .org days(cause pussies never wanted to wait *grin*) ,and killing someone while they sleep is cowardly I believe in a bit more honor for the soon to be dead people.War time doesn't count cause war has no rules but living through it |

So first you say that someone is not a hitman unless they kill people who are awake. Then you go on to say that, actually, that's not true at all, it's just more fun that way. So what about those comatose bums who never wake up? How do we get them, eh? If you want to spout a load of nonsensical gibberish, feel free to drop me a mail. But please I am trying to start at least a half-intelligent discussion here. |

What I'll say to this is quite simple. Being a hitman is a fine art that needs patience and training. There are many among us who have the ability to shoot. But that is not the be all and end all of being a hitman. Too many have been known to aquire the skills for shooting and they haven't had the dedication or the tenacity to become true hitmen. It's all well and good starting out in this life and knowing how to shoot. But knowing how to is simple. Crafting yourself into and artist is hard. That is why there are various bloodlines that are remembered for their killing prowess. My bloodline was never in the coffeeshop Unicorns but from what I've heard the cream of the crop resided there. The fault lies purely with the gunman/woman If the HS boss and family boss have done all they can to inspire loyalty then it is the gunmans choice as to weather they follow their bosses. They chose to use the ability they have in they way they want. Ideally it should be for the family they serve and not their own means. But as time ahs proven ego and whispers can sway people. Just because the skills to killing can be found by most, I'd say only a small percentage of the community have the courage and tenacity to hold true to what it means to be a true hitman. |

The standard was lowered. It is much more difficult to amass a huge amount of kills here than it was in the old world. It really is. Firstly the targets are fewer, then there is certainly a higher ratio of hitters to targets and everyone appears, at least, to be far faster in getting them. This means that as always the same individuals will rise again and again with numerous kills, but not solely them anymore, as I'll touch on shortly. The volume of kills these hitmen get is significantly lower than would have been required to have done the same severe damage in the old world and to have earned them a place in a hitsquad. I find myself mystified by our killing situation here, I really do. A gun that can hit low ranked sponsoreds will still miss "innocent" unsponsoreds. However, that is an aside that I doubt will be changing. Getting back to my point, fewer things to train on, so less kills required to do the damage. I suppose that is fairly logical. But this has had the effect of making being a good hitter, pretty attainable. Almost anyone can be amass the kills required to hit the highest ranks wandering about on our streets. So instead of having the elite of the wacking world in positions to change it, pretty much anyone can. This has led to people with no concept of what to do with the talents they now possess, possessing them. Instead of the trained and tutored rising to the top and having the principles of being a hitman instilled into them, it is the fresh faces who are shown a good method and none of the theory. Who's job is it to teach these people how to use a gun for the family? A hitsquad leader? Hardly. I haven't known a decent hitsquad leader in my time here, after all they've a ridiculous task. Practically everyone has a friend now with a nice IA method. Why on Earth would I listen to this guy I barely know preaching to me about things I care nothing for? I wouldn't. I will go to my friend, absorb his knowledge and begin training. The days of more than one or two people at a time having a 300 kill gun are gone. These are the days of the 40, the 50 and the 60 kill hitman ruling the roost and it has made something that should have been revered, readily attainable. I'm not entirely sure I've explained myself there, but the gist of it is that it has become far too easy to become a hitman. Something like that at least. |
