Katra wanders the streets. She had seen the cards being exchanged between people, along with the jobs that they were doing when they thought the police weren't looking. She tilted her head as she noticed a young lad traveling her way with a card, from what she would assume would be a sponsor or a leader lurking amongst the shadows. Politely taking the card she gives the young lad a tip. Flipping the card between her fingers as she became thoughtful. Spotting a group of people she heads over towards them. "Okay let's talk. Let's talk about getting started into our community here. There are lines that have been here forever and skip the beginning ropes of learning what is best for them in terms of where to join or what they should be looking for. These are the exceptions to what I am about to say. To be truly blind and lost among the wolves, so to speak, can be a very overwhelming experience for some. This can lead to rash decisions when considering a family. So I am truly curious how many people encourage possible associates to speak to others, or is it mainly to increase numbers rather than quality of a member? Why do I say quality? Purely on the belief that an unhappy member will not excel as well as a content one. You may be thinking this is outrageous and that every leader wants to be out for themselves. But do they really? Do they just want that extra kill or do they want to see members grow and rise under their knowledge and teaching? I can't specifically answer for leaders so I will not try. " Pausing briefly to give her voice a break before she carried on. "So what I am asking is do you put numbers ahead of what might be a better situation for the individual? Do sponsors actually speak about their cities and their families? Do they encourage questions or shrug them off? Basically I am interested in what goes into recruitment for each person. Or why you do it a particular way rather than any other? Lastly, what do you think makes you stand out against every other individual striving to shape new lines of our day?" Katra steps back and glances at her nails. Noticing one was shorter than the others she sighed. After this discussion she would need to get her nails redone. |
