so here is a suggestion i would like to see added and it is that if you report IP Sharing it keeps a log that the user is able to see of IP's you have reported as shared ip's

the reason for this is simple, you could check to see if the ip your currently on has already been reported as a shared ip by yourself so you dont have to report again just incase you didnt already.

i see no cons to this aside from the time required to code this in, we can already see what ip's weve logged in from so why not add to that section and have a symbol or something show up if youve reported that ip as a shared IP address

Speaking from an admin side of things, this is completely unnecessary. You only have to report IP sharing once on each character if you share an IP. You don't have to do it for every single IP.

So basically, when you go back to the share IP action it shows that you have already shared it? If so, I think it's a good idea. I know some people must forget if they have done it or not, and it saves spam for the admins to go through.

i was under the impression that every time i log in from a new ip address it is in my best interest to report it for ip sharing incase someone else is using the same ip address and didnt report ip sharing on the ip address

this is what the report ip sharing page says:

nowheres in it does it say only need to do it once per character

The purpose of this form is to allow people to report shared IP addresses easily. Let me inform you of the people who NEED to use this. You share an IP when you play from the same house as someone else. You share an IP when you login from a friend's computer, you still need to report this even if you just check your mobmail. If you play from public places, like wifi hotspots (for instance on college campuses) where multiple people use the connection you should report as well. You don't know if some other player is on that network. You should also report if you play from a corporate network (your work, most likely), as you do not know if some other person plays from there. Everytime you create a new account you need to report it or we will not know it is you.

We don't do this to be mean or make your life harder. This is to keep people from cheating. I think we can all agree that a level playing field is best for everyone. Abusing this tool is the road to an admin wack.

Right... it says if you play from any of those you need to report it... it doesn't say "report it from every single IP you share".

I think maybe you just misunderstood what it was saying?
