Adrian's Family Memoirs Started by: Adrian on Apr 30, '09 23:41
I feel almost embarrassed to pretend to steal away your time when I have no past family to talk about, but I also do not like to be left out of the fun just for being an orphan, so I will tell you my story regardless.

I got off the boat not knowing what to expect. I knew that I was broke and I had to flee from home since I was being chased for embezzlement and other thefts. When I started walking down the streets of New Orleans, some stinky person approached me and babbled something about offering help, but not really living up to the promise, since after I asked him a question he just remained silent. Fortunately, the next corner I turn I bump into DravenLynn. We strike a nice conversation for about half an hour and after sharing expert advice without expecting anything in return, I was so impressed by her that I immediately wanted to work for her. Of course she explained that she would be one of my bosses, but that I would be ultimately working for the founder of the Fallen Angels, Don Hayley.

At the time I was assigned to TM's Sub Crew and he took it upon himself to teach me all he knew, for which I am still grateful today. We created such a bond that he turned in to the Father I never had. With his untimely death I felt an orphan again, but with his son arriving to these shores, I lost a father but gained a brother.

So unprepared I was for the upcoming events that a whole war struck around me and I remained asleep all through it. My SCL even came knocking at my door and left me a note asking me if I had any shooting skills as we had lost most of our hitters. Even though that war was won, it certainly didn't feel that way having had to ask for refuge from another city's leader and our Don committing suicide.

With the chance of rebuilding the crew I was lucky enough to be trusted as the Sub Crew Manager as Nicky took the reins of the Fallen Angels. I will always miss that job as I had the privilege of having a reason to meet every single person in the crew: I wasn't too low that I wasn't worthy of my bosses time, and I wasn't too high that I had to tell people to follow a chain of command before talking to me.

Then the Chicago war struck and I was glad to be awake. And even though I wasn't ready for these upcoming events either, I was called upon duties beyond what I could have even imagined. The war caught us with both of Nicky's hands away on business, so Nicky called upon me to be his "acting RHM" and he shortly after called upon Alessia to be an "acting LHW". Eventually, Don Nicky had to get his rest to make sure he wasn't going to lose aim or risk hurting himself or an ally and that left me in charge of the crew for a few hours... the longest of my entire life. I only realize now what really happened that night. I was instructed to aid in decimated the enemy Godfather's protection so attacking such a high target, I wonder how it is that I survived that night.

After that it was an anxious wait until Nicky was finally authed to reclaim Chicago, as an ex-Fallen Angel, since by that time he had proudly renamed the crew to truly make it his own. The rest is still history in the making, so I really look forward to have an excuse in the future to share another bit of my history with you all.

Thank you for listening to me, and have a good night.
