I am new to this game and about one week maybe more into the game, I finally know how to look up the achievements. I realized after that when someone gets an achievement, it should pop up as an alert or be sent as a mail. It would help many and it would be practical as well as it's not hard to fix. Please take this into consideration. |

It actually could be quite memory intensive to track every single users achievements constantly so that this could happen - I'm not sure exactly how intensive, but it sounds like it could be. I'm not really sure how it would help either, it's not really a big deal to check your achievements a couple of times a day. I don't know about you, but I'm not so super busy in game that I don't have time to click that page :) |

I played another text-based mafia game where it does tell you automatically when you have an achievement. I don't think it is that hard to do and in terms of memory either. Also, if you forget to check the achievements page, you might miss a lot of rewards. |

If you forget to check it, that's on the users head so I've no sympathy. As for the memory/processing requirements, that does sound fairly intense to be honest... but we'll leave that for guys that know exactly the impact it would have on the servers to comment upon. While this type of thing should be explained by other users/leaders/training threads etc, it is the type of thing that can slip through the cracks easily (even just in terms of the new player not reading it or not understanding it when they did read it).
I had thought that the tutorial included a part on gaining an achievement already? I've a vague memory of that being part of the new scaffolding to explain steps to new players. If not, having a quick achievement gain as part of the tutorial would make sense. |

It isn't part of the tutorial. |

This is where your sponsor/family comes into it. If you're new in general they should know this upon recruiting you, and have someone working with you to explain these things. You also don't lose any rewards by not checking the page, you just only get the rewards once you click into it. I even forget sometimes where I was at with achievements and when I click into the page, BOOM. 2 or 3 come at me at once. Never lost, just forgotten. |

Cheers for that Bob. This is something worthy of a "quick win" for a new player. The inclusion of a "one click" achievement... "Do your first crime" or whatever... which gives a negligible reward, and which is built purely as a training tool (included directly in the tutorial) would be beneficial to new players. It's the type of disproportionate reward mechanic that will help increase user retention in the early days too. |
