I was reading through my great grandfathers journals the other day and he spoke of a place where honour and respect were the cornerstones of a place loved by many. It saddens me a great deal to see these once highly thought of attributes thrown aside like they mean absolutely nothing. It would seem to me that the muppet show we have on display today is a real far cry from the place were most of our predecessors were firstly born and raised. What really has become of us as a society? Are we so full of our own self importance that we have forgotten completely the very fibre that used to make our world what is once was? Have our values become so twisted and turned out of shape that we are sadly only a shadow of our former selves. I understand completely that a certain amount of lying and cheating has to be done in order to keep business going but also a high level of HONOUR and RESPECT and OMERTA must also be in place in order to keep this society flowing. Or maybe its too late for that already. I was sad today to witness a Godfather, someone who demands respect, totally piss over another man's gravestone. This was once unheard of in our society. So I ask you all in all earnesty, What has happened to the values we once held so high? Are they just a small part of a place that is only now nothing but a dream? |

It annoys the hell outta me to see anyone pissing over someones grave, no matter who that person is, but to see it come from a Godfather is just ludacris.. How someone can sit here and dictate honour and respect, expect people to look up to them and then just go and do the exact thing they oppose to, if that was anyone of us "normal" people, no doubt we would have been whacked for it. One rule for one, another for the rest of us. Things these days aren't so bad, my grandfather kept news papers from when he was around, it tells a story of two leaders who ran the cities like Adolf Hitler (not his words), killing anyone who wasn't in their family and only authing friends to take up the leadership role, those days were shit. |
