Marietta stands in front of a newly constructed office business in the middle of the hot, Nevada sun. She nods towards the gathering crowd, half shielding a man behind her so that the people cannot get a glimpse of him before the time comes. When they all settle down and quiet themselves to a low murmur of interest, the Godfather speaks.
Las Vegas, the City of Sin and lights and slot machines and all that other fun stuff.
Within the past four months I feel safe saying that Las Vegas has seen too much blood upon it's streets. Multiple good men and women, and families, have moved to the city with high hopes, only to fall shortly thereafter. I know I, as an observer from across the country, do not like to see when another city falls. Nor do I like to watch as it remains empty and gathers dust, when it could be used as a cog in the drug machine or anyone else's businesses.
My mission for myself today was to speak to a few people, contact a few associates and pull some strings, hell bent on getting the city of Las Vegas filled. Having been on the phone and in various meetings all day, I feel confident that we have selected people with the biggest and best feet to fill the shoes.
...Or something that makes sense.
As always, I'm a big advocate of setting up multiple families in one city when it becomes open to the public underworld trade. So per usual, we've found two candidates that we feel will do well with the city. I will be announcing the first of the two men selected tonight.
The first man I have actually had the honor of working with very closely for the duration of his time in This Thing of Ours. He has been an amazing addition to my own personal HQ; upon entering he was officially made the RIOT! lawyer, and has done justice to the position since then. He is tireless in his efforts to constantly promote "justice for all", and throughout all his "trials and tribulations", he has remained an "ace attorney".
...Ahem.
Either way, everyone congratulate and welcome ApolloJustice to the league of the boldies. I have every faith that he and his counsel will do well in their venture for Las Vegas. Very well done, my friend. Very well done.
Marietta allows people a moment to applaud the man, who waves from his spot next to the Godfather, and then she gestures her hands to silence them once more.
