I normally confine my suggestions to things I believe the game needs, small tweaks here and there. This one is a little out there, somthing which isn't 'needed', but I said I'd throw it out there and see what the reaction was like....
When we start out in this thing of ours, we all gain certain traits and abilities depending on the answers we provide at start up. These answers control how we develop throughout our lives.
From an RP pov, many of us change our beliefs and abilities as we grow and develop. I've always thought it would be interesting to allow this to happen in game too... linked to our ranking.
While it would require a significant, and possibly troublesome, change in coding... the chance to answer questions on ranking (possibly confined to certain ranks or even just an individual rank, made man being the obvious one that stands out) would help give the rank(s) even more meaning.
So as an example... on receiving the made man promotion from a CL, instead of the rank simply appearing, instead the user is given a mail with a couple of new profile questions on it. This would mean that a player who had until now been on strong defence, would be able to add more balance to their account by picking up stronger wack.. or vice versa. |

Yeah love it. You can keep on specialising or balance yourself out. Or maybe you could just pick one speciality when you become Made Man - like what kind of Made Man do you wanna be, a violent psychopath, cowardly accountant type, sneaky jailbreaker etc. |
