I see no bloodlining by the leaders. Only bloodlining I see is by your group that somehow doesn’t exist although the coffee shops you all frequent outside of this world still bear the name. While everyone here has made valid points and raised their concerns over the actions of this member, he isn't alive anymore and I can confirm he won't be returning for a long time. That would make me say that responding to his comments is rather useless. Isn't extortion a integral part of the mafia, as pointed out by Kelly in another thread? As seen below:

It is a mafia themed ORPG (or is at least advertised as such), and with the territory comes extortion and general asshattery.

When it comes to game money its ok but someones real life money used to buy creds just to pay to play this game sickens me while you and your group thought it was fun others like myself are sickened by it.

Granted, there is dispute over whether this was actually extortion; but even if it was it was demonstrably a one time event where the way chips fell was something to be taken advantage of. I wasn't here for what sounds like the unbelievably crap 303 era, but the way Kurgan describes things it is painted as repeated extortion of particular bloodlines over a period of time with no bearing to the actions of their character, this is both:

1. A really poor way to play the game. It's crap leadership, crap strategy and crap roleplay

That sounds a pretty smart thing to do really, let someone else do your dirty work and keep your hands clean. Maybe not 'tough' or honorable, but if it works it works?

It only works if you're intelligent enough to actually stay under the radar whilst this happens as in my experience, none of the top guys in the 303 had the requisite skill or subtlety to do this; as evidenced by the fact that they managed to unite most of the game against them with nothing more than their own decision making?

It worked in the past, it appears. Not like 303303 really matters anymore, beyond the occasional incident involving them.

It's a great tactic to use for in character means of having someone else take the fall for things, and like Guevara said, only if the person being used takes the fall for things. It was used on the sopranos, when Tony used his Uncle as the Boss, yet he really ran shit from behind the scenes. In this instance also though, he was considered possibly running shit as the underboss, yet Junior still went to court instead of Tony, so it worked in this way.
