Oh man, Books. I could talk about books for days!

Theres a series by Diana Gabaldon which is history mixed with action mixed with romance. Its so good! Theres 8 books so far, but she's currently working on book nine. 

A song of Ice and Fire is a given as well - G R R Martin needs to stop going to comic con and sit his ass down and write! It's been 3 years man! Whens the next book out?! 

Anything by John Green  - but heavily in love With the fault in our stars & Will Grayson, Will Grayson. 

I recently listened to the Audio Book of World War Z - and I would reccomend that to anyone ever. Reading it is good, but listening to it was amazing. they hired a bunch of different voice actors and it was the creepiest thing in the whole world. 

Neil Gaiman with Neverwhere (omg ilu) and American Gods - both longer reads but totally amazing. 

Robert Jordan's Wheel of time Series - 14 epic fantasy books which are so rich in world building you will just... Poo your pants with joy if thats your sort of thing. 

Brandon Sanderson - Mist Born Series - Another fantasy series. Sanderson actually finished off the Wheel of time books after Jordan passed away, but his writing stands out on its own. The Mist Born is about magic - but using different metals to do the magic. Its really intruiging and wonderful and I'm not explaining it well., Def. check it out! 

Anything by Dave Eggers, but a Heartbreaking work of a staggering Genis is amazing. It will, break your heart. 

Uhm. Lady books - Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series are nice quick reads which are quirky and funny. 

Romance books - go for Julia Quinn and def. start with "What happens in London" - it makes you giggle. Its just so charming and cute! 

Uhm. Supernatural stuff - Patricia Briggs - the Mercy Series. Werewolves and shapeshifters. Vampires & witches. But its not shit like Twillight. 

Horror/suspense - Anything by Jeffery deaver. But Start with "The Empty Chair" because that shit is chilling.
