| The Horrors of Monotony | Started by: Prophet on May 15, '09 18:23 |

Prophet travels along his usual route, stopping at a couple Philly post offices to "withdraw" some funds. After collecting a couple hundred bucks, he goes off to find the local drug dealer. He purchases some "sugar" and goes on his way. He boards a plane to Los Angeles, sells his load, and returns home to repeat. On his way home, he looks out the window, and thinks to himself... Damn. What a life. I get all the money I could possibly want... Yet, I still feel like I'm running around in circles. He leaves the plane, walks back to his HQ and takes a seat. He grabs a drink from the bar, and looks into the bottom of the glass. "What's wrong? Cars, Money, Women... This is THE life. Why do I feel so.. bored?" A young woman notices his odd monologue and sits across from him. "Is the beer talking back?" She said with a little smile. "Ha. Ha. Ha. Very funny." Prophet replies. "Sorry. Couldn't help myself." "It just doesn't feel like it used to. You know what I mean?" The woman looks off into the distance and replies. "You're right. It's different. We've all gotten kinda deep into a habit." She waits for a reply, but decides to leave before he can say anything. Prophet finishes his drink, and heads out to the streets to have a chat with some common folk. "Does anyone else feel like it's a bit... monotonous? Repetitive? I know we need structure to keep us all organized, but where's the old spark we all used to have?" |

Rourkey approaches the young man cautiously and places a comforting hand on his shoulder. Friend, I notice you're fairly new to this world of ours. If I had to wager a guess, I'd bet that you have only been involved in this sort of business for about six days or so. I heard that you just started doing your first felonies yesterday and I thought the novelty would still be a joy to you. I have been around this world for quite a while and although I'm not the oldest mafioso around these parts, I take pride in what the world is today. It allows young gangsters time to grow and develop without worrying about the universe crashing down around them. Businesses are flourishing. Things are wonderful! My cattle farm is doing extremely well! Friend, I think maybe you just need a little more seasoning, you know, a little more time under your belt before you can truly understand this world we live in. Give it a few weeks or so and we'll see what we can make happen together. |

Jokes walks down the street, one hand on his stomach, the other holding his smoke. Im new to this area, so I don't know too many things. Jokes takes the last drag of his ciggarette and tosses it away. But I find excitement in the people I know. Jokes lights up a new smoke. His right hand always returning to his stomach. And I enjoy getting to know the families around these parts.Me personally, I'm trying to find the time and words to tell my story, but all in good time I suppose. I guess I'm trying to say its all about the people, not just the earnings...but the cash makes it nice. Jokes says with a smile as he leans against a building wall enjoying his smoke. |

Yeah, it's fucking horrible. This one time I had a monogamous relationship with this woman for almost five years. That's five years of getting the same piece of ass every night. I even came damn close to marrying her. God, I hope that never happens again. The horrors of monogamy cannot be understated. If you have someone in your life who starts leaving personal possessions at your apartment, like a toothbrush or deodorant, or if they want their own dresser drawer, it's time to get rid of them. |

...You told me it was fine if I left some of my clothing at your place, Butt_Ox. Did you really mean that, or were you just placating me? Marietta frowns and tilts her head. |

| The leather dominatrix outfit with the riding crop was fine. I just tell everyone that it was a Halloween costume. | |
