He got the message. Slipped into his mail, I suppose. It was the Boss, again. "Guess he needs a job done, eh?" The new guys obviously weren't cutting it. The boss hadn't had him in for 4 years. So, he went freelance. "But this, this is big." He opens the envelope to find $10,000, and a small note.
Interesting. Looks like the new guys REALLY weren't cutting it. Silviano isn't even a boss. But he's got a big pay-out. Damn. This thing only gives me a week to take him out. Great. This should be fun. He opens up his closet of various weapons, and ponders for a moment. Hmm... I hear Signore Silviano has a taste in music, so I suppose I can take him out at the local theater. They got that opera in town, you know, the 'orchestra'. I can just slip in as a musician and get him like Lincoln. He selects some fine piano wire and places it in his small carrying bag. He also selects two guns, a knife, and a camera. Boss always likes proof. A week goes by, the trained killer has practiced his act hundreds of times, making sure each intricate detail was in place. It was time to strike. He enters the theater, and looks up into the balcony. He sees Silviano, and two armed BodyGuards. "Haha, guess he's going for the light protection this evening." The orchestra begins as he makes his way up the steps, ever so quietly. The first bodyguard is at the door, but his back is turned. With 1 swift knife strike, he kills him, and sits him down on a seat next to his target. Gotcha. He pulls out the guns, one shoots the other guard, the other presses against Silviano's head, and fires. He quickly snaps 3 pictures, and exits the scene. God damn I miss my job. Freelance just never cut it. He empties out his bag in the local dump, and continues home. He opens up the envelope that was sent to him, and places the pictures in a return envelope. Within days, his cash arrives, with another job. I guess the boss was pleased. I'm back? |
