Many of you recently saw the retirement of Nicky and his removal of Alessia. This is not a war, it is simply a change in the hands that run Chicago. Nicky asked me before he went to sleep for the final time that he would like for Adrian to take over the operations in the Windy City. I've encountered Adrian before for many different purposes, he has an unbridled passion for his city, and I believe he will excel at becoming the new head of state so to speak. Nicky, although not deceased, has granted me the permission to send him from our world respectfully, and I will abide by his wishes.
I enjoyed working with Nicky and can respect his decision towards retirement, I think he is a credit to patience and accommplishing things the way a mobster should. When Chicago was taken down many months ago for the faults of its leader Phantom Ghost and I was still in Detroit we brought Hayley's family in to live. In that family was Nicky, a man eager to prove himself, and so he did upon the untimely death of Hayley. It was promised to him that if he kept working hard for Detroit that he would get his own city again... It was a promise that was kept and Nicky earned the greatest honor anyone could hope for in becoming Godfather of Chicago. Now that he is retiring I am immensely sad, and wish only the best for him where his road ends.
Before leaving he asked me to make sure his people are safe; Marietta and I gave our words that we would keep them unharmed. So if any danger comes to those on this list, the consequences will be fatal:
