A plot and a good thing Started by: Doc_Sportello on Feb 13, '15 10:07

When DocSportello walked into his old HQ and went to get his gun, he realised that his boss had hidden his gun.   He had no gun.  Only his boss could have taken his gun.  So he was scared and he was worried.

What had happened before was that someone had picked his pocket in Las Vegas.  The last time he picked someone's pocket, they beat him up!  So he beat this guy up and then the guy started to threaten Doc.  He threatens to kill Doc.  But Doc got him first.  Doc shot him with his gun and he died.  His name is HereToSight.  He maybe had friends in Doc's family, I don't know, but it made Doc get his gun stolen.

Doc planned to move to Las Vegas anyway, he talked to a friend who knew this place and he gave him advice on how to do it.  The bullet proof padding for the walls was the start and it was going to be a nice place.  But somebody shot Doc.

Nobody was in Las Vegas so it would have been  a good thing.  At least osmeone would have been there to keep it busy.

Now I don't know what to do, Doc worked so hard and saved and did what he ws meant to and he still got killed.

So what is a man supposed to do to make his wway on this world?

Curtis arrived at the scene of The Doc's failed enterprise and looked around at the various faces looking on. There was a mixture of bewilderment and amusement from most people. He approached the young man.

"Hey kid, you're old man may well have had noble intentions, drive and initiative to forge his way in this world but you need to understand something. This thing of ours has rules. Very long standing rules. You can't just set up your own family in your own city without permission from the people that control the crime in these cities. You'll get shot, without fail, every time.

There are hundreds of mobsters that want their shot at running a family. They work their arses off to make a good impression on their bosses and try to shine enough to be considered for that position when the opportunity arises. This way of life is full chances, but for each chance that comes up there are fifty guys and gals looking to take it. This entire network is one big business. We can't juts let everyone do whatever they want, it would be chaos and chaos is bad for business.

If you want a shot at running our own family one day, talk to your boss about it. Ask what you need to do, what they look for in a potential leader and how you can go about it. Then you work yourself into the ground and never ask them again. Asking for your own crew, even more than once sometimes, can be seen as a big mark against you getting one. If you work hard enough and stand out enough, you'll be approached about your future and asked what you'd like to do. "

Curtis takes a wad of cash out of his pocket and hands it to the young Thug.

"Here you go kid. I liked your dad's heart. Take this and get a good start. You never know what the future holds."

He walked out onto the streets and noticed a young man standing there pleading to a crowd, while Ted listened, he slowly began to peel a banana. Taking a few chomps he looked around and took the man's silence as the perfect time to speak, he had noticed Curtis already explained most of the good stuff; so instead he would stick to what he knew best.

This thing of ours, the mafia, its all about taking it slow at first. When your family lineage is just starting out, you won't know many people or have many believers. Which is why you need to make people believe. Donate to your leader, shoot at a few unlucky souls, get out onto the streets and get to know the movers and shakers; basically just put your nose to the proverbial grindstone and never look up from your work until you've finally earned your leaders trust. Eventually you'll be given some kind of chance, and you will take that chance and turn it into the start of your legacy. We all have one. All it takes to make yours great is a lot of hard work and a little bit of...

Grabbing the peel and throwing it to the ground, he takes a few steps back. A man jogging comes into view from around the corner, and his body is in for quite the treat. As his feet plant firmly onto the banana, he falls backwards, his head slamming into the pavement and an almost amusing amount of blood squirts up into the rather shocked crowd. Ted looks up from the incident and back to Mr. Sportello for a moment so he could continue what he was saying.

... good timing.

Ted walks over to the now injured man's pockets and relieves him of his wallet and a few odd pieces of fabric that were shoved deep into the back; he then walks over to Doc and sets the cash he had just procured into his hands. He never actually did these sorts of things for the money, it was more or less just really, really fun to see people fall.

I hope this helps you understand what had happened better. Your father overstepped a few boundaries and attempted to take something which he had yet to earn. If this explanation doesn't make you feel any better, well then maybe the contents of the wallet will. That guy was apparently loaded. Ha.

He walks away. His job here is done. Surely he is helping shape the youth of the mafia to be better than ever.

WhereTheRedFernGrows walks out after Doc had given speech and two highly respected Men of Honor spoke their piece.

Doc, I am sorry the loss of your father. However; your father's gun was taken from him because he shot what we used to call a -48. Someone who had not been around long enough to find a proper home. This is frowned upon in our society.

Alas, I was willing to spare your father on the incident and have him be trained better so when I had the confidence to give him his gun back. I would be more comfortable in knowing he knew what he was doing.

So that is why your father had his gun stripped from him.

Your father met his fate when he decided to go off on his own and "set up" in Las Vegas.

Whether it be vacant or not, we have rules to people having families and HQ's.

If you break or bypass those rules, you are viewed as a threat by everyone and the result is usually the same.

In this world, you make your way by earning the trust of your leader and "earning your bones" that is the stepping stone to anyone's journey to leadership. These things do not happen overnight.

Doc... Please learn from your father's mistakes and understand we have rules that must be followed.
