Adrian leaves the Godfathers house visibly hurt and with Brick at his side trying to help him walk. Adrian was proudly rejecting his assistance and suggestions to be rushed to a medic. He wanted to share with whoever wanted to hear about the great news. Tommy_Gunn makes his way through the crowd and is seen whispering with Brick as he is put up to speed with the recent events. "Citizens of Chicago and all visitors from across the country. Today we see light at the end of the tunnel. Chicago has been under s great deal of stress for the past month and we have seen the death of many good leaders who have found their way to the grave way too soon. Persian and Tempe who unfortuntely didnt know who they could really trust and surrounded themselves with people who made bad choices, and recently Donna Alessia and finally a man I learned a lot from, Godfather Nicky." "Many of you are expressing their surprise seeing that I could step up to claim my city so soon after Nickys untimely demise. I thought it wasnt that big of a secret that I dreamt of this day for a long time so I was working as hard and learning as much as I could to make sure I would be as ready as possible for when the time came." "Of course a key part of my dream was to be able to get my crew and be able to move to another city to attempt to claim it, but after being faced with his inevitable death, Nicky himself told me the night he died that his last wish was to see me claim Chicago and bring it back to its former glory. This is not the way I wanted to get my city, but this is the way I get it so I have to play with the cards I am being dealt." "So I am filled with more pride than I thought I could feel when I come here to you with my head held high to tell you that I have achieed the first step in filling my predecessors wish. Today I claim my city. Soon I hope to be able to restore its glory." "I wish to let you know that the doors to my office will always be open either to talk business or to discuss current events. I wish to have flourishing businesses and a lot of people doing crimes in my city so the Feds and the cops will know we dont fear them." "I also want to thank Prayer and Waylander in helping me rebuild Chicago. We have many projects for the city and we will be sharing the news as we finalize some ideas. I thank you for your time and I will excuse myself as I have some minor injuries I need to attend to." Adrian walks away accepting some help from his driver to get into his car and drives off to his Doctors office. |

Tommy waves to the departing figure in the car. The morning sunshine beating down on his face he begins to ponder what has happened... "...this is truely a momentous day for a young man who stepped off the boat onto Ogden Slip at Chicago Docks all those weeks ago. His life reads like a novel. Afraid and malnourished after an arduous journey from the Old Country he scrapped and fought for every nickel and dime, every morsel of food. He barely scraped a living and all the time trying to stay one step ahead of the long arm of the law. The first of his bloodline to ever reach the shores of the mighty US of A, he was told of a promised land with golden sidewalks and untold riches. The reality was the polar opposite. Adrian learnt fast...he had to. He quickly learnt how to conduct himself when speaking to his elders and betters, starting off small he robbed a few old ladies, much to his later regret, he then progressed onto Bank jobs, robbing 7-11's and the like. This man has not had it easy, he has survived wars, seen those who he held dear to him shot down in cold blood, even his first true love fell in a hail of bullets. Did he crumble under the pressure as many lesser mortal would have done? The simple answer is no, he did not. He has persevered and overcome every obstacle put in his path. A path that has lead us to today, his finest hour. Where will the path lead? Who knows. Only time will tell but I for one am certain that he is destined for great things. In his heart I know he has the betterment of the community in mind, his love of his family is unquestionable and his ambition is plain to see. I am honoured to call him my friend and I am even more honoured to call him my Godfather." Realising he is verbalising his daydream in public view, Tommy straightens his tie picks up his violin case and departs the scene with a proud step in his stride |

Sibilo listens to the Godfather speak and then decides to speak privately to his boss. "Godfather Adrian, you are a great man and it is no surprise to me that you have taken the city of Chicago as your own. You are a great person, you have shown to me as one of your own in the small amount of time we've had together, you are great leader also. I wish yourself and our family all the best as well as the city of Chicago which I'm sure will prosper under your guidance and leadership. Also, I wish the two leaders, Waylander and Prayer all the best in our fine city, I'm sure we can all work together and bring Chicago to new heights. Congratulations Sir." He then kisses the Godfather's hand and walks back into the ever increasing crowd around the Godfather. |

Congratulations once again Adrain, or should I say Godfather Adrain. The love you have for this city is outstanding, and it is and honor to be by your side helping restore Chicago to the great state it was once in. Together, as one, as a family we continue to move forward for Chicago! |

Having heard the great news from a few states away, Marietta sat down to pen a fond letter to the newest Godfather Adrian. Finishing it with a flourish she quickly addressed an envelope, placing it gently on top of a large, wrapped gift. Calling over one of Cruel's newest goombas, she leaned in towards the young boy and pressed a small wad of cash into one of his hands, placing the package into his other. "Please make sure this gets to the addressee. Be careful that it does not fall into the wrong hands." With a smile and a nod the boy began his day-long journey towards Illinois. ** Outside the gates of the newly furnished building, the young man cried and kicked his legs as a bodyguard carried him off of the premises. Meanwhile, another associate was winding his way towards the largest office, knocking politely, leaving the package with the occupant within before exchanging pleasantries and leaving the new Godfather of Chicago alone with the letter and gift. Adrian, The letter began, in a tidy cursive font, Or I suppose, as I should call you, Godfather, Congratulations upon this newest achievement. I could not help but get a little choked up and emotional at the news, hearing about your latest accomplishment. Why, it seems like only yesterday that you were a young man, innovative and spirited, dying of a hunger to prove yourself. From the very day I met you I felt you were the perfect image of the model soldato; trusting and loyal, eager to work hard and learn. I daresay these are traits that you have kept well into your adulthood, turning you into a great man and the perfect candidate to become Nicky's successor. I could rattle on more and more, but I won't bore you to tears and do that. Please accept these bottles of wine (so cleverly disguised as bottles of liquid medicine, if you've noticed!) as a token of my congratulations on behalf of Detroit. You deserve everything you have worked for. Do not let anyone ever cause you to think otherwise. In the wake of a tragedy that hit your city, you rose to the occasion to make the best of things for you, your family and associates. The strength that shows in you is immense.
