I'm not sure if its really plausible, but how about making it possible for the higher ranks to kidnap another PC character and beat the tar out of them(kinda akin to mugging) take their money, beat them, with the result of leaving them injured and increasing the amount of time before they can travel(or duration between traveling locally) and possibly resetting their attack timer(as if they get the hell beat out of them, its gonna be kinda hard for them to go attacking anyone else).
Just a thought... |

Maybe since there is already a 'kidnap' felony list this as 'Abduct, I'm personally feeling Made+ in rank to pull it off. |

this actually was once a feature in the game, then crew leaders complained and the feature was never used so it was changed to what we know as mugging today.
I would stand behind this idea if there was a way to add it in without causing it to be banned. the only thing i can think of is making it stealth-able but i feel that would start to give stealth too much strength overall in the game. |

So mugging is in response to a PP. How was kidnapping done previously? |

I wasn't around for the older version of mugging, but if what i read is correct on it back then. what he is describing was how mugging use to work. you didn't have to wait for them to pick pocket you. you could just go ahead and mug someone (it used up your attack timer though). this feature was barred from use. and was slowly removed to what pickpocketing and mugging we have today is. I could be wrong, but i believe that is how mugging used to work some time ago. you didn't have to wait for someone to pickpocket you to mug them. the point though still stands as soon as this feature is made it will be disallowed and you would be shot for using it. |

You might indeed get shot for using it, but actually, its a less severe thing then shooting someone for shall we say for example being disrespectful in the street or breaking whatever family rule may be in place. I'd certainly rather loose some cash and some time between my ability to attack or travel then be shot for messing up, personally. |

Yeah an in between to being shot would be nice. So basically it use to be a mug option without the need to be pick pocketed first. I can see why people would get shitty, but, that's the game. Foe kidnapping I think it would be a good precursor to being shot. Making it made+ accessible would make sense, and maybe limiting it to only being able to do it to lower ranks also. It doesn't make sense a Don being able to kidnap another Don. That would just be a straight up shot. So maybe only being able to kidnap someone -3 ranks and below. So the highest ranking a member can ever be kidnapped, would be a Boss, and this would only be able to be done by a GF, which would be rare in a GF crew . In a normal crew with a Don as the head, that would mean a capo would be the highest member able to be disciplined by a kidnapping. Make sense? |

The issue I see here is this: If you can do it to other families, then rest assured if I was a CL and you kidnapped one of my members, you'd be taking a dirt nap if I found out.
Realistically, a CL should be able to stop a member doing anything he wants. Remove petty access, felony access, OC access, bank access. |
