Thank tou kalypsovicco for redefining what a rogue is. Without your defining vision, this world would be at a loss.

She asked permission, they failed to answer. If those in power refuse to lead then they shouldn't be there. RIP Chicago and the fallen, RIP those who died to make this world better from N.Y. now is a time to rebuild and hope those who have been graced in power learn from the past. I praise GF Curtis and Dominus Batiatus for being not only men of thier word, but men of action. LONG LIVE N.Y. for its leaders have acted honorably in all this.

Report Post Tip

That doesn't make any sense, KalypsoVicco. Is it their fault that you chose to be impatient? Since when is it accepted to blindly ask Godfathers to set up in a city?

I certainly hope you will learn from the past, you will need it.

Report Post Tip

Indeed, it is the fault of those who were supposed to be leading Chicago that Dana lays dead, a here-to unnamed consig. under Maria can probably be thanked for such. I will mourn for my sister, and move on. I will forgive old grudges and let the past be what it is, in hopes others will learn from it. However, I will NOT stand idly by and let the record of what has taken place go unspoken because that would dishonor the hope for growth and a new Chicago where people are not afraid to say it is overcrowded, we need to spread throughout this thing of ours and not leave whole cities lay idle. I make no apologies for what my bloodline have done for it is my firm belief they have helped make this world a better place.

Report Post Tip

All what Dana had accomplished was diminished to nothing when she set up without permission and died. Sometimes true leadership is not to be gained by taking something by force. To influence others to take the direction you want, to make an impact upon others with your words.. To subtly shape the world to your liking through persuasion is sometimes the best route. Not the route that your sister took.

It is the fault of Dana that she took a path which lead her to her death, and as such she was foolish. You can blame those who were leaders, but in the end it was you who decided to go rogue..

Report Post Tip

You're right. Chicago is no longer overcrowded. But maybe the reason you got no responses from the Godfathers is because they did not think you fit to lead a crew but didn't want to say as much to save your feelings. I've wanted a crew for myself for a while now but I would never just take it like that. It is disrespectful to those you called family, it is illogical because you know you will not get away with it, and there is nothing to be gained. You will not be starting a family just because you decide you want to. That is not how these things work. It is Dana's fault that she lays dead. No one else's.

IOcaste failed to act as well Maeve, I'm sorry if you did not know that but its in old journals. That said, i'm sorry if you can't see what has happened I know Dana thought well of you. I'm going to go grab some coffee and ponder the meaning of life or something.

With that Kalypso turned on a heel and got into a long black car, headed off for some coffee knowing there was work to do.

Report Post Tip

We can all see what happened. Your sister was detached from reality, and it appears nothing has changed.

Report Post Tip

Wow talk about disrespect eh? Some people never learn.. bad times to be from Chicago I suppose.

Report Post Tip

Disrespect? This is getting more amusing by the minute.

Your sister went rogue, and then you blame the leaders for killing you? Killing a rogue is something any leader would do, it is the way of things. You can't defend her actions, but yet you are stuck in her warped sense of reality, and that is a tragedy indeed.

Bad times to be you.

Report Post Tip

Goodbye Mr. Goto. it is sad this day has come.

Report Post Tip

By your sisters logic, failure to respond to mails is a failure in leadership. That logic is laughable at best , and I can only hope you don't share her same thoughts. New York, bless her cities, is a tight run operation deep rooted in tradition. Please consider that if you do have your sisters same thought processes.  We Auth people based upon merit and approval of the godfathers, and we don't take kindly to rogue actions or intents.

DiamonDz was catching up on the talk in the streets when she heard commotion happening among a few people. 'WOW" she thought to herself.

I would just like to say,

What has happened, has happened. We can not go back in time and change it, we can only move forward.

We have seen alot of bloodshed in the past couple of day which brings a time of mourning for alot of people.

But as we all know, mourning those we have lost will lessen at some point.

I do pray that those who lost their lives find peace in their after life and that those who lost loved ones also find peace,

in order to better themselves and their families followed by their districts and cities.

With that DiamonDz nods her head and continues her usual business.

"KalypsoVicco. Your predecessor was rogue. Attempting to say anything else only goes to show you do not know how our world works. You say you mailed leaders and when they didn't respond you took matters into your own hands? No, you do not do that. Ever. For any reason.

You may ask questions of leaders and they may or may not get back to you. That is up to them. They hold an elevated position in our community and it is entirely their prerogative whether or not they respond to what may have seemed like a bizarre request. If you mail the leaders of the community and they  do not respond, it does NOT mean you may go ahead with whatever idea you have. If you get no reply it means 'wait', 'do nothing' or 'no'.

If you ever take such an action again you will begin to find your line's position in this thing of ours, increasingly difficult as you will have established a track record for going off reservation and breaking the rules. I would suggest that you seek genuine learning and absorb the real ways of our life as best you can. I would suggest you do that immediately, in this life and learn the way we work.

If you fail to do so after Chun_Li has seen fit to give your line a second chance, you will not enjoy your future."

As I have said Godfather, I will leave the past in the past if nothing else out of respect for you...

Well, my name and (my lack of ?) leading skills have been mentioned. I guess I cannot stay out of this anymore. So let me clarify how the DanaVicci situation went down from my crew leader of iocaste's family point of view.

From the time your sister thought a war was about to break out after reading a completely random street post (and instructing her GF and other people to send a mass mail about it, to take pros and shit) while absolutely nothing was happening, to the time when she asked to be authed in LA because... well, fuck logic, it was kind of obvious that she didn't understand half the rules she had agreed upon when getting in the crew. Or that she had the slightest idea of how things work in this world of ours (which generally means that you will never be chosen to be authed by the way, eh).

But I'm a patient man, and it's not as if she broke these rules on purpose. I like to think I can work these kinds of situation by patiently explaining why something is right and wrong to someone, or at least by telling them what's strictly forbidden. Usually, it is a lot more useful than any other (more radical) possibility. I did that several times with her.

And yet, in the end, she completely ignored anything that was explained to her (or any rules she signed) to set up in a random city of her choice for her own reasons. Fine. People do that sometimes. They're called rogues and they tend to die pretty rapidly.

What I find quite extraordinary though, is that you still believe that she was in her right and that we were the ones who failed at it. That she was not a rogue and that we had a twisted logic. That she did everything right and that we did things that are wrong somehow. So, let me try one more time to explain it to you/her : what she did is roguing, pure and simple.

Oh, and :

IOcaste failed to act as well Maeve, I'm sorry if you did not know that but its in old journals.

Yeah, I "failed to act" quickly enough. After every mistake she made, I thought that putting a bullet in her head would have been so much easier for everyone around. I really thought we could somehow handle the situation differently though. Events proved me wrong, unfortunately. I just hope you will somehow learn from her mistake.

I'm going to let that go, Mr. Bacon, as I said, I have moved on and my sister lays in the ground. It doesn't matter, if it did matter you should know she left notes about shooting IoCaste as well. She didn't because she didn't want trouble. :)

Report Post Tip

Moxie regarded KalypsoVicco, who seemed to have so many strange and contradictory words to offer on the matter of her dead sister that Moxie was becoming, frankly, quite confused, with a touch of suspicion. After all, who would rogue from a family they supposedly were loyal to, to a death that should have been plainly obvious to see coming - even as a gangster, Moxie understood that such a show of disloyalty to ones own blood and of disrespect to the blessings of the Godfathers running this curious world - and then not even bother to use the power gained from such a move to gun down someone with whom they had "left notes" on the matter of shooting?

She didn't because she didn't want trouble, KalypsoVicco, or, more honestly, she didn't because she didn't have the means to do so? That seems like a clarification that needs to be made. After all, Ms. Vicco, there is a big difference between "could have" and "would have if".

Report Post Tip

This is honestly, better entertainment than day time soap operas....

"As the Blame Turns"

"A better future...(for Chicago)"

"Another Massacre"

"General Mayhem (and blame)"

Report Post Tip

Oh she could have, she had both means and opportunity. She would have if she didn't consider how it would look on her later, and Iocaste had a good history with her no harm there.
