... Or what to do with it
You all have heard the stories of new beginnings before, I’ve heard those of my own bloodline as well. There’s a controversy in the lines I started the introduction of my story, it’s meant that way. Like many others I have an extended bloodline that has wandered these shores and streets before. It’s for long known that in this world of ours there are many men and women who have done their best to achieve the highest ranks. Simple, really, if you come to think about it. I’ve read much and many threads about what respect should look like and if you don’t follow the described opinions you’d show disrespect. With that said I would like to say: “Hi, I’m James”. |

The definition of disrespect can change, but I think we all can agree that calling someone a cunt is disrespect. (Such a joker!) It is a matter of opinion, but the opinion matters if you're at the top and calling the shots. Then you can decide what is disrespect and enforce rules upon it. As for the goal in my life? I do not know. I try to guide my destiny, but sometimes fate takes it's own route, and all I can do is look for the holes in the road. |

Your response is a marvelous example of what I meant, I guess. |

Hi James, I'm Father_TeQ. It's good to see a fresh face, although you seem quite the cryptic person at first glance. You should probably remember that you are talking to thieves, thugs and liars here, having to 'read between the lines' is not something we endear to or endure usually. Is there anything I can help you with young man? |

After going on a Durden killing spree, Vandlgat's desire for loose women, currency, and marijuana was approaching totality. Searching the streets, he ran into James_Jameson, who was speaking at the time about life goals and what do we actually want out of life. Vandlgat replies,"I think the goal of life is be happy with where you are. You'll never accomplish that by dwelling on future possibilities. Death pardons no one, but how many really live?" Vandlgat, remembering his urges, goes to a local brothel, rolls a joint out of a $100 bill, and smokes it while bedding his stable of prostitutes.......... |

Walking up the street to grab a quick bit to eat in between family meetings Brielle over hears a man making a sort of speech per say. She is walking in that direction anyways so she decides to hear what he is saying, she only catches the tail end hearing something about respect and then him introducing his name. "Nice to meet you James, I'm Brielle" she shakes his hand and gives him a wink "Just remember this, respect is a 2 way street. If you show respect you in turn will receive it back. It is a pleasure meeting you and nice seeing someone new in the streets, looking forward to seeing you around." Brielle politely tips her hat and continues on her way |

Sney listens to the ideas and comments for life goals from his fellow mafioso. He smirks at all this motivational crap, then He takes a swig from his flask and flicks his smoke into the street. My goal in life is to do sweet fuck all and, get really damn good at it. Though this right here kinda messed up that plan didn't it. |

I feel I should clarify some things... First of all, I do not wish to make people read between the lines. I only mean to make people think about what they should reply, giving them a lot to do so aswel. I do understand what you are saying Father_TeQ, but as I said before, there are different ways to react on a person's view. “It is the rare fortune of these days that one may think what one likes and say what one thinks.” (Tacticus) Maybe it's not my place to have a conversation like this in the position I am in right now, but as I said before, I dare to venture the possibilities if I do. |

My great-grandfather sure had a venturous mind, not one that was appreciated by many... What did this learn us? I do think it contributed, atleast a bit, to where we are this day. But one nonetheless. |
