I have no thoughts on the banning of certain families from your city beyond the fact you have the right to do as you please, and I'm not trying to engage you in a debate. Frankly, there is no debate to be had, it is your prerogative completely. Your decision is unquestionable. However, I would like to voice a bit of support for my family leader. Knowing him as I do, I know that he is wholly against the shooting of under 48s. My understanding of the Philadelphia situation is that an under 48 was shot with consent from the victim. The confusion came from the fact this person hadn't made it absolutely clear that the shot was authorised. Confusion that is understandable of course, but confusion that some others, not yourself, might consider to warrant a bit of leeway. I also understand that the perpetrator was demoted and had his gun removed initially, then he was finally killed after NY displeasure at the decision. What relevance does this have? Not much with regards to the ban, granted. I say it only with the purpose of helping my boss not have people speculate and potentially damage his good reputation. |

Jokes flicks his smoke away and steps toward Hinder. It's not a matter of agreeing with the Godfather, or the Boss, you are right as in the fact that our opinions aren't important. We, or at least, I, simply state that I support the Godfather's decision. Anytime someone is forced to make a decision involving other people, it's nice to know, even if you don't really care, that other people are behind your decision. What's the problem with showing encouragement? |

Marley laughs, but this time it isn't the reefa that ignited it. It was some guy talking about people fellowing their leaders demands and agreeing on enforcing their leaders demands around the community, that's what made him laugh. If others fellowed their leaders demands and RULES. Plus, stood behind them in everything they did, then maybe we wouldn't be having this little discussion and these rules enforced Marley laughs again Personally, I think the reason why so many people agree on enforcing these rules is because they'll be the ones doing the enforcing, if you know what I mean All of a sudden Marley notices he's talking to himself and looks at his rolled up joint. Thinking to himself, "That ole Jamaican Special does it everytime" heads off to airport to check suit jackets as they exit the planes |

The-Sneak turn to jokes... "Exactly my point. Godfather Thomas decided to send his message in the streets. If he is curious to know how people react to it, he will gladly be served. Maybe our opinions not important. But who are we to juge anyways. Here, we speak our thoughts and calling people by their ranks is mearly showing them respect. You have to work hard to become Godfather, the least we owe one is to honor his rank." -The Sneak! |

GodFather ThomasRourke had just addressed the assembled crowd and a low murmur broke through as each turned to his or her neighbor and spoke of the new proclamation. Taking matters into his own hands concerning the safety and welfare of new arrivals to the cities scattered across the country, GodFather Rourke spoke of the necessity of protecting these individuals and upholding the law concerning them. In a showing of integrity and strength he had announced the closing of the city to those he felt were remiss in their duties to uphold this law. Those fresh from Ellis Island could now enjoy their newly found citizenship without the spectre of being gunned down in the streets by trigger happy gunslingers out looking to put an easy notch on their pistolas. The crowd grew quiet once again as Don Premier stepped forward and spoke of his own support for this edict, and of the frustrations felt knowing that there were people at large literally getting away with murder. Those who felt they were above the law were told to stay out of the city, for this was a city where young men and women could make their way and embrace the opportunity to follow their dreams. A city where a simple immigrant could rise above the challenges and find themselves making a decent living. A city of the people and for the people. Above all, a city of justice. Vic looked at those around him as they talked amongst themselves and nodded in tacit approval. Where lives were concerned all were of single mind, and this reflected in their own conversations. No one should be deemed as target practice simply for being new to this world. This was a universal altruism. To think otherwise was to condemn oneself to fate. Hearing one gentleman speak of the folly of voicing support for the decree caused Vic to take pause and carefully consider his words before speaking on this matter. "In our hearts we all know right from wrong. When we pick up that gun for the first time and sight down the length of the barrel we are faced with the reality of just exactly what we are holding in our hand. It's not a toy nor some prop in a Hollywood movie. It's a weapon that radically changes lives forever. It can sure get you into a hell of a lot more trouble than it can get you out of. Carrying one is a privilege, and one is expected to be cognizant of what is expected of them every time they step out into the public eye. To fully embrace an ideology that saves lives and voice support for compassion for one's fellow man isn't a debatable topic in my book, nor can it be deemed as mere "apple polishing" for the great leaders of this city. It is instead a showing of unity, for we are all of singular purpose where this issue is concerned. The original law protecting new immigrants was agreed to by all. Therefore equal punishment should be swiftly meted out in all the families across this great nation. This may be a New York issue at the moment but it has countrywide ramifications. Doing the right thing is never easy. But it is always the right thing to do." Having said his piece, Vic turns to listen to the animated conversations going on around him. |

"might consider to warrant a bit of leeway. I also understand that the perpetrator was demoted and had his gun removed initially, then he was finally killed after NY displeasure at the decision. " And the whole point is New York shouldn't have to show displeasure or hound the leader to get action taken. |

| As I say, I wasn't looking to engage anyone in a debate, so I won't. I was merely laying out the circumstances and the fact it wasn't as cut and dry as many under 48 deaths. This was a balls up by the shooter and the victim, and they paid the price ultimately. | |

Frank listens intently to what everybody has to say and steps forward and shouts out everyone steps out the way fearing possible repercussions, for being mistaken as Frank_Blazini. "Mr, Sir Thomas Rourke. Most high Godfather I have to agree with what you said that this is best way of dealing with law breakers. But it also helps us who need a body on our gun when those banned from NY steps into our beloeved land could be risking early demise at our hands saving you time." Frank goes to step back into the crowd but remember he has to say something else, but can't quite remember what it is "Ok people............Next time I will surely remember." |

| Jokes, do you not think that publically agreeing with a CL or GF when a rule is made is slightly redundant these days? Anybody with half a brain knows that if you beg to differ and contradict a rule from a GF will only end in tears, or worse. Don't get me wrong, I like it when individuals are active in the streets and contributing to speeches with their own opinions, but when you're spewing out redundant crap that could have easily gone unsaid and just speaking to hear your own voice, I'd rather the individual would just keep their mouth closed. | |

| Redundant or not, I believe in openly showing support to leaders. So to what extent do I need to type a reply? Do I really need to spend ten minutes to type out a speech that overall simply states that I agree with the leaders decision? Or can I just simply put something along the lines of "well, said." "I agree." Where are you drawing the line Hinder? What's the difference between what we are saying and you're post where you simply bash comments? | |

And by 'post' i assume you meant speech. You are correct, it is too early for speeches. V passes Jokes some of his OOCitis medicine That should come in handy, take one a day for as long as is required. You'll be fine in no time. With that, V turns and walks away |

Jokes pops some of the pills into his mouth. Ty, I appologize for the lapse of character. Though, I was rambling, I believe we know the point I was trying to make, so I'd like to stay on topic. At what point are you drawing the line for comitment to speeches? |

An interesting idea indeed, Godfather Rourke. Whoever came up with such an ideal situation to deal with families they do not want to work with must be someone of unimaginable intelligence, grace and beauty. Marietta gives a smirk. It was my displeasure that sparked the entire incident you speak of, Manson. I will never tell another family how to punish their members, and in this case- after correspondence from both Godfather LionHeart and Don Timello- I held to my word and I'm sure there's a letter floating around with my name on it stating "If you feel this punishment fits the crime, then that's how it shall be." However, and funnily enough that's how I started my next paragraph in my letter, I was forced to remind them that this was a unique situation. Unique not in a favorable way, however. With the under 48 in question having no identifiable forms of communication (meaning there were no letters sent, nor did they appear to have made any street speeches, comment on anything thereof, nor did he have any tattoos of any kind) it was, legitimately in many eyes, an illegal shot as deemed by Crew Leaders and Gods alike. The only thing that caused "confusion" was the fact that at the funeral, someone bearing the same name as the deceased (they were a "Jr", obviously) stated casket-side that the shot was authed. Which of course, I didn't agree with. Why for? Because it doesn't work that way. To think of the amount of lives that could've been saved over the course of these long years, had only someone paid a young thug or gangster to appear at a funeral and pose as the child of said deceased mobster. That in itself is a terrifying thought, for had we taken the word of the thug that appeared at the under 48's funeral (who was then removed from this world by the Gods shortly thereafter, I'd like to point out), then every thug that griped about every death would have to be taken seriously, and our world would lose some very valuable mobsters. In fact, I could auth every single one of my personal hitter guard to attack and kill various Mob Bosses around the United States, pay a bunch of young boys and girls down at the boat docks to pose as the offspring of said mob bosses, and all my hitters would get was a mere demotion and gun stripping. Never mind the fact that there would be homeless, or the lives of various Dons lost, sending this world into shockwaves- the hitters would be safe. Wrap your minds around that chaos theory. I personally prefer to keep my rules strict to the "T", as that is what separates the weak from the leaders. Leaders are not supposed to have it easy, that is why they are in charge: they are supposed to make the hard decisions that no one else is capable of. Those that waffle aren't worth the time, and this is why I deeply respect the decision New York has made. As someone of a Godfatherish and Rourkish nature was overheard saying the other day, "My rules are black and white to me. The day they become gray, I will retire." |
