Lexie made her way out onto the streets of Chicago, a noticeable grin etched across her face. She had some big news for her district, and the city as a whole. Her lover was going to be given a family in South Side. And what a lover he was, too! But that was besides the point. She stopped herself from reminiscing about the drunken lewdness of the previous night and began to speak.

Ladies and gentlemen, I have an announcement to make. South Side has grown rather full. It is my desire to see the district continue to grow. Not to mention, in the coming days I hope to assume the role of Godmother, and will need somewhere to send the majority of my family. 

I can think of no better person for this job than my faithful rhm, Goku.

Some of the crowd gasps. A few people scream out obscenities and catcalls. 

Yes, yes, so I have heard. He's a trickster, he can't be trusted, he is in league with those who must not be named. However there are a couple things you are missing here. 

A. My line and Goku's line go back many many generations. More generations than I'd care to admit. But not too long ago, one of his ancestors took in one of mine when he was in a tight spot. Hated, ridiculed, and insulted, Gohan took him in and gave him a home. Not only that, but helped him develop into a crewleader. He took a chance on me, I have no qualms or fears of returning the favor.

B. He is the best person for the job. He has busted ass since the day he got here, helping us during the Chicago wars by providing leadership and direction as only he can in times of war. He is a major reason why we are still here. I'm not trying to downplay the rest of my district's input in those times, or in the last month or so. I have other options. Just not any that I feel are right for this position at this moment.

Normally, I would tell you to piss off and that I shouldn't have to justify my decisions or actions to any of you, at least not in who I choose for positions in my city. But this is a special case, and I know some people won't like it. So be it, there is nothing I can do to change that. But I must do what is best for South Side, tonight.

I would like to introduce you all to: Goku, Tango, and Atticus. These men will be starting up

With that, the three men stepped forward to present themselves, and lexie strutted back to her limousine. 

Goku stepped forward, grinning from ear to ear. 

Thank you so much, Don Lexie, for this opportunity. I am eternally grateful. My line has much history in the South Side, and I look forward to adding to it here with you and Don Ted.

Tango, Atticus, and myself will not disappoint!

Congratulations, Goku! I know how capable you are and I am sure you will do wonders in South Side.

I've heard much of this trait of the bloodline you hail from, all this trickery and backstabbing.. Yet experienced none of it. Like Lexie, one of your ancestors (I think the same one) gave one of mine a chance to start up a family and did so without hesitation. Indeed, I believe you did so in similar circumstances to Lexie in that the group your ancestor belonged to weren't overly fond of me holding such a position. So it's nice to see you receiving a similar opportunity.

I'm sure you'll do great in Chicago and help rebuild your district and indeed City to the great place it once was. Not too sure about that idiot Atticus right enough, I think he'll be a bit of dead weight! But I wish you all the best of luck and look forward to seeing how things progress under your guidance.

Finally some good news to hear when Chicago is the topic. I am glad to see this fine city continue to flourish after what has been a particularly tough couple of weeks for all parties remaining. I remember once upon a time our ancestors where quite close Goku and began to start something special in Chicago, I sincerely hope as time moves forward we can look to reconnect and help Chicago thrive. I wish you the best of luck though I know you are no stranger to your position.

This is a good day for our city. Chicago is expanding and all of us get a little more optimism towards the future.

Congrats Goku on getting your new family. I don't know about your bed stories with Lexie, but I certainly saw you in action during our last war for survival. I couldn't agree more with Lexie: you the man we own our survival to, and exactly the kind of leader Chicago needs to rebuild. With the help of the Loop, I am sure we will be able to regive Chicago the might and status it once had.  Best of luck to You, Tango and Atticus in the future!

Ted heard about the good news and went out onto the streets to celebrate -- taking his finest wine he rushed from his apartment and quickly uncorked it, throwing confetti into the air in the process -- before he realized that everyone was an entire block away. Sighing to himself he walked over to the cork and tried to shove it wrestle it back onto the bottle. Eventually deciding to give up on this losing battle, he walked down the street and over to the large crowd which had formed to give their congratulations to Goku.

This promotion is well deserved! Take this half-full bottle of wine, it was more full but apparently throwing something around causes the liquid to slowly disappear. Science, am I right? Crazy. Anyways, as I was saying... congratulations, Goku! You are a wonderful addition to this fine district, and city as a whole, and I am more than happy to work with you.

Swishing the bottle over to Goku, he gives off one of his award winning smiles and then walks off a bit into the crowd once more.
