As I, and many others play MR on a tablet or smart phone device, making a thread is a pain in the behind, coping and pasting so you can write it over time in the back ally before moving it to where you want it. How about you can edit the body of your posts in back ally and save it as you go. So I can do a few paragraphs, save it, then come back to it and add more. I know it is easy to do on a laptop or PC, but iPads suck ass sooooo much. |

I would be OK with this as long as its "not viewable" until you do the final post. Once its no longer editiable, others would be able to see it if you gave them the BA url.
Any contributions, ideas, concerns? |

I like this idea of being able to edit in the same post as long as its ONLY in the Back Alley. As Squishy just stated, once its in the public. Its frozen...no changes! Here is one thought though. I know some people have friends look over their threads in the BA before posting. Would we loose that option if this editing thing was implemented to the BA Squishy? |

Just my opinion, if its something in BA we should have the ability to edit it really whenever. BA is not a public thread, it's sort of like a notebook you just put notes in until you speak in public, if you don't speak it's simply just a notebook. So you can always change your notes, add or modify however. Then once you're satisfied you can have it moved to the public whether it's streets or whatever and at that point it'd be locked and uneditable. |

Yeah I actually agree with Tony and I think also where Fats was going. We already have the option to wack entire posts in the BA, and re-do them. I find I wack, repost, wack, repost, wack, repost over and over again till it looks right to me. So editing would be an easier option. This would also make sense to then have the same thing in HQ, so uppers can also edit their own posts. I'm also curious as to the reason for making it 'non viewable', Squishy, until the final post is done. |

Because once viewed, nothing should ever be allowed to be changed. You can't rewrite history. |

This is a really nice idea, I do a lot of typing on my tablet and it really does get hard trying to copy/paste while writing something up. |

I know that's the case with The Streets and Business Districts. We're talking Back Alley here though. As it is right now, we can actually wack and re-post anything and everything we choose to in this area. For example in the very same BA thread I could wack every single reply, and post new ones, over and over again and that same link is still accessible and valid. In this way, I am actually erasing history altogether, and re-writing it. If it's regarding the date/timestamp then maybe this can be modified to the last date/time the BA thread was edited. |

Great idea! Would it also be possible to add a "revert" changes option to this? I know when I try to edit things from my phone the back space key quickly turns from a few letters to a few lines and there is no real 'ctrl-z' option.. |
