I say 'family'. What does that mean to you?

If you were a com padre; an amigo, a friend of someone that was in your family, would you attend their leaving ceremony?  I'm pretty sure to bet there is a good chance that you wouldn't be washing your hair instead of attending.

What about Johnny 'Blue Finger' Jones who always sat at the back of the class, he was family but you two didn't really speak unless it was needed. I would guess that you would have a sore eyebrow that day instead of attending his funeral.

I don't know if that's the right way in this 'thing of ours' I believe we should all be stepping up to the plate a little better, what do you think? Poor 'Blue Finger' ehh...

Now the boss is going, isn't he? What?! The boss aint attending a funeral for one of his own? Does that calculate into why Barry 'Pink-Eye' Jabroni isn't attending? Does the boss set the standard?

Unless it was a danger to the boss, don't you think he should be going? Annnnd... taking ole 'Pink-Eye' along with him? 

Again I ask... What exactly does 'Family' mean to you?

That only the living are important? That if they do you wrong they should suffer in death? Does our religion not mean anything to you anymore?

 If it someone from the family I had at least seen in the HQ sometimes, I would definitely visit his funeral.

A boss should definitely visit the funeral of his deceased member (unless he himself dies too). If the boss ain't visiting, you have to ask yourself why he isn't visiting. And some people just dislike attending funerals (which is understandable in a way) I guess.

The dead are dead and they cannot help you anymore. Certainly they should be thanked for their contribution in life, but as soon as they're dead, they're useless. And, depending on the severity of their action, people should die if they do you wrong.

And finally, not everyone is religious.
