11. You're starting to think in 1's and 0's. 10. The "Start" button has been burned in on your retinas. 9. Your beard has grown so long it's interfering with your typing... and you're a girl. 8. Your mouse asks you to stop touching it. 7. You've just spent two hours searching for "at-desk biological relief systems." 6. You see your leg muscles atrophying like a time-lapse video. 5. You don't remember what the rest of your house looks like. 4. The police officer says so. 3. You install a chute in the basement window, so the UPS guy can deliver packages directly to you. 2. Your last two birthday parties have featured animated cake and balloon GIFs. 1. Your fingers have become fused to the keyboard. |

Other signs that you definitely need to step away from the computer: 12. You start saying acronyms out loud... and pronouncing them accurately. LOL, ROFLMAO, WTF, OMG! 13. You can type over a hundred words per minute but take hours to do the same thing with a pen. 14. You train your dog to handle all your regular chores, including walking itself. 15. Your legs refuse to obey you anymore and your left hand keeps touching you inappropriately. 16. You see virtual people. 17. You blink often enough to induce a seizure; both to yourself and onlookers. 18. You dream computer stuff in your sleep then freak out when all the data is lost upon waking up. 19. Your family is forced to drag you away from the computer with the help of several dozen locals. 20. You start muttering "My preciousssss..." whenever you feel your computer is threatened. 21. Your computer files for a restraining order through a freak glitch. |

On the topic, the following apply to me personally: 13, 15, 16, 18, 19, 20. I'm hoping #21 never happens, I'd be heartbroken. Glances around shiftily and coughs. Right, well... I'm gunna go... get some fresh air... yeah... Runs off. |

My dreams almost always compose of a greyscale world there people are just walking names... that or counter-terrorist operations in a dustbowl. Maybe I should stash a laptop somewhere incase of number 19... |
