"What Makes Us Stay" Since learning more about Rogues, doesn't seem to interest anyone. Then lets begin again. Is anyone as bored as I with nothing of interest to write about, nothing happening of interest, and everyone standing around making fun of each other. The same people seem to have made bars in each city, nothing very interesting happening there. The same people seem to be ranking, no one shooting at anyone, and the noobs are wondering what is so exciting about a mafia world where there is only peace? So I'm saying to you, if I were a n00b, why would I stay??? |

Trilacci laughed My dear, it's the streets which are meant to captivate us...Rogues do interest us, as do the discussions on them, but not when there's twelvety already. We're just lazy as a community and little thought goes into new, exciting topics anymore. Get your thinking cap on, it's the only way to keep new people here. |

Try and change it. Maybe it's the same people that feel a passion for this world that are trying to put some effort into it. They are trying to encourage more people to become involved... So I'm saying to you, if I were a n00b, why would I stay??? " The same people? They are reincarnated? No, they are the same family lines that have put an effort into their lives. The same family lines that enjoy this thing of ours. The same family lines that thrive on involvement and success. This world is not about war. It's not about death. It's about having a successful family and enjoying yourself! People enjoy stability, they enjoy succeeding... They enjoy not visiting the funerals of friends and family.. New family are given the ability to learn how things should be... It's about encouraging them to become involved. If you don't like it.. Leave... Don't try and stir the pot dear, enjoy the stability. Enjoy knowing that you will wake up in the morning and find your family still alive... Why should people NOT put an effort into being successful within their family and this thing of ours? Should we just give up and not try? |

I have two opinions on this topic that I'd like to share with you. First off, you say that there's nothing of interest here. To those that don't find this interesting, make it interesting. Why is it that people feel others should be responsible for their "happiness"? We all live our own lives here. Not all of us are here to entertain. If you want change, make it happen yourself. Secondly, I agree with you to an extent. Why should new folks stick around? It depends on their goals. Does everyone have an equal opportunity around here? No. Should they? I believe so. Now, in saying that, I think that everyone has to prove themselves first, but lets face it, oftentimes, those that work the hardest are overlooked in favor of close pals or ancient lineages. The solution: Work your ass off. Make this world the place you want it to be. Prove people wrong and trust me, there'll come a time when you reap the benefits. |

Being an old hat at this mumbley and yet for the time being having that lovely moniker so dubiously placed arbitrarily on folks let me chime in. As soon as you wake up in this deal you work your arse off to get your gun. 12 or so pettys at a clip seems to work fine-I don't give a toss what questions you answered when you began-that, it has been my experience, comes into play later. next train that gun well. If a person is low ranked and is 8 days or more old check em out- if they're IA ...SHOOT!!! lastly role play. this is tricky, cuz you don't want to just spam and as my old ladyfriend has already said the street , bar and OOC presently are pathetic. But do look around and post. It won't get better unless you do. |

VonGaunt and Fist, it is your way of thinking that has me staying here. When I know there is something more exciting in another city. Now if we could just change the way most of these folks around think and say try a little harder maybe something exciting would come of it. |

| yes it was, and you forgot to mention that all the bordello's were kept so busy I had to hire help in 5 of the cities. Seems like my bars are well liked. | |

Umm well this is the highest my familyline has made it in a long time so I can't really back up your point about the same people ranking. Okay sure I'm not as high as I could be by this stage but I am damned lazy. As for interest I felt the way you did a few days ago and hell it happens, deal with it and move on. Find some way to spark a little fire in your breeches. To be honest this sounds like a lame build up to a rogue who won't do much damage. If there is nothing that inspires you way are you out here at all? |

I stay because my family has been gone for many many years. (7) I love the community of this game, the drive, I'm here to not only gain rank but become part of my family (crew). I want to go to the top i want to help make decisions in my crew and help out the young thug that i once was coming into a world that i didn't know why i wanted that purse from that lady so bad. I want to grow and have others grow and become a true family with pride. I don't believe this is a game for rouges they have there place but with the higher ups its class. I want class and i want my to mingle with class who know when force is needed, its not about killing everyone other wise you wouldn't get a gun you would get a bomb. I'm here to live the world deprived of my time period (OCC). That is why i play. |

Many years ago when my family line first landed on these shores,they were very ignorant of the protocol involved with what was going on here.At the time they arrived,there were many 200 man crews and so much activity in the streets it would make your head spin.Wars,skirmishes and rogues were aplenty.As ignorant as my family was they were taken in and taught the ways of this world. Everyday i feared for my life as i seen new friends and aquaintances shot down before me.The fear for your life aspect made it very exciting.ranking up and having mentors there beside you making you feel alive and proud to be here is what made it fun.My families knowledge of all the INSIDE information came very slowly.And for them ,that was fine.Taking your time to become INNER CIRCLE was a wise choice.It made them appreciate it more.As much as death was a part of the Mafia life.It was respected as much as it was feared.The friendships are the #1 reason i am here after all this time.The people I have grown and bonded with all this time is what makes me return after all those times I swore i would get on with other things. Now to the present time,becoming inner circle and diving headfirst into running the show yourself as fast as possible seems to be the norm.The side effect to this is,a big mental struggle to maintain an existance here.Times have changed and life is respected as much as a piece of toilet paper after you shit.I miss the old days,and I realize they will never return to thier former glory.But i am still here trying my damndest to instill my love for this life to as many newcomers as I can.There are a few old friends still here who at times make me feel as if i was just starting again way back when....and for that i blame them all for dragging my ass back here all the time :) |

From the eyes of a noob. My bestfriend's family has been here since the beggining of time and I would always look down on him for the life his family led. Then one day my great grandfather decided to give the mafia life a try and has been hooked ever since. Though things have changed greatly since my grandfather made earner in 2 days. Every few weeks the whole world seemed to die as if we were stuck in "cycles". Hearing all of you talk really makes me wish that I was here when the streets were so full of life, but seriously I have been bored out of my mind in the streets and it's hard for me to even see that as a important part of this world. Everyone here knows how much people look down on those that are mutes so I always feel forced to speak but never hear anything worth talking about that I havent already heard five times. I think that to change all this it will deffinitly take a group effort and we all need to do our part of thinking. Trying not to just sit back and shake our heads at the world, but of course like everything else here. It has already been said. |

Looking through the eyes of someone new to our shores, I think that the defining factor would be how my family interacted with me. As a person just coming into his own in this world my interests would be held if I felt like I was learning and contributing. Having an ersatz mentor show you the ropes and teach you the four pillars sets you for life. As you grow and become a part of a family you forge bonds and take pride in what you do. Whatever you do for the family, whether you're proving yourself as a top earner and trusted associate or working to protect your friends and families lives you become a part of something bigger than yourself. If you wake up in the morning and can't wait to have a cup of coffee with your family, then knock off a series of bank jobs something must be working right. The big ol' world keeps wobbling around. What we get out of life is directly proportionate to what we contribute. |
