The Darkside of Pickpocketing Started by: Kizzy on Jun 22, '09 13:49

Kizzy stares at the speaker on the podium for a few moments, his words buzzing through her head meaninglessly.  She's only here for one thing.  The woman slips unnoticed through the gathered crowd and up the steps to the platform.  The speechmaker pauses only when he notices that his audience's attention has been diverted to the red-haired woman standing next to him.

"Um...can I help you, Miss?"

Kizzy raises her hand and waves it in front of the young man's face.

"You don't need this podium."

"What? Yes, I do. I've got to--"  He is cut off by Kizzy scowling and waving her hand more forcefully in front of his face.

"You do not need this podium."

"Look, lady, if you don't mind, I'm in the middle of something. If you'd like to listen, then just take a place in the audience."  The man turns back to his notes, shuffling through them to find where he had left off.

Kizzy rolls her eyes, breathing a soft "Oh, for fuck's sake" before pulling out her pistol and sticking it against the man's ribcage.
"Beat it, buddy."

The man glances down and gives a short, nervous laugh before graciously conceding the podium to her.  She smiles and waves him off the platform.

"Thank you, dear." Kizzy flashes her smile to the crowd gathered, slipping her gun back into her purse.  "Now, I've come here today to announce something on behalf of my boss Sidious--The Darkside is completely Pickpocket Friendly!  That's right, you can reach into any of our pockets no matter who, what, or where you are.

Kizzy nods to the crowd with a smile as they discuss the breaking news.

"Oh, and if any of our members gets their panties in a twist over this, I, Kizzy Pirazzi, will personally reimburse them for whatever amount of money is taken." She glances down at her watch before stepping away from the podium.

"Now, I really must be off. Toodles!"

As she makes her way back through the crowd, she notices a hand slipping into her purse and pulling out a few bills. She smiles and winks to the pickpocketer.  "That's the spirit, dear!"

Is that a hand in you're pocket or are you just pleased to see me??

In this instance i'm just pleased to see you =D Great idea! Variety is the spice of life as some head case once said.

I'm really not sure what it means to be pickpocket 'friendly.'  Or pickpocket 'unfriendly' for that matter.  it seems like this facet of the life of a mafioso has been regulated quite a bit.  This pickpocketing debate is one I find very interesting.

So, I guess I will just say - thanks for sharing your family's philosophy about pickpocketing.  And since this is your family's philosophy, I'm not sure (if I were the family's RH) I'd tolerate any whining about having money taken.  But not only are you tolerating it, you're going to reimburse those who complain?  I think I'd 'reimburse' them too, with a bullet in their head.  This is the family's philosophy - which means it should be beyond question to those in your family.

Maybe the rest of Philadelphia will follow suit, and we will again have a pickpocket friendly city.

You know, ever since I started playing this game, I have been taught to always ask first, and I have always done so. I once broke the rules and pickpocked a friend without asking and I got a big wod of cash, and I returned it...sometimes when you are between selling and buying, there is alot of money laying around and I think it is common curtosy to give them a chance to get their affairs in order...so thank you, Kizzy, for making The Darkside pp friendly, but I will always ask first...

Personally, I've always enjoyed sticking my hands in other people's pockets - you never know what you might find.

Also, I know for a fact that Kizzy gets a kick out of sticking her hands down my pants - I mean, pockets.

Silhouette runs off with Kizzy's cash.

I am personally glad to see that there are still PickPocket friendly people. I was beginning to feel like my skills where gonna go to waist. I mean... I have never PickPocketed in my life....uhh....
