Thomas looked out over his city from a penthouse apartment in the Bronx. He was sitting on Top Hat Terri and using himher as a chair while enjoying a glass of whiskey. Premier would be in for a meeting soon, and it was one that would change the way business was handled within New York for a long time. He tapped his foot impatiently on Terri's hand and had a bit of a jump when the phone rang. He picked up and replied to his secretary: "Send him in." Thomas spun around to face the door as it opened and his Don walked into the office. He offered a seat to Premier and the New York Don took it casually. Thomas could see the war had taken its toll on his number two as Premier's eyes were still baggy and hollowed. He'd lost a lot of people that war, whereas Thomas had only lost Fork Rourke. "Hello my friend, I'm sure you're wondering why you've been summoned into the office." Premier nodded in confusion and Thomas opened the top left drawer of his desk. He removed three brochures and laid them out in front of Premier along the desktop. Thomas watched Premier's eyes scan over them, and furrow in confusion at the names: Los Angeles, Chicago, and New Orleans. They were obviously not tropical paradises and Premier looked up at Thomas to try to make heads or tails out of what he was seeing. "You've worked hard lately, my friend. I think you could do with a change of scenery. Ever since you became a leader in my city you've been a shining example of what it means to wear a bold suit. You adapted quickly to the strict code of conduct we hold so dear in New York and made it your own. People have always looked down on you or disregarded you as someone who was undeserving of the chance to lead people based on the path your ancestors had taken, but I see have seen something more in you... Greatness. They tried to snuff you out in the Big War a few weeks ago but you persevered like I knew you would. Now we're on the precipice, it is time for us to build and expand once more. Much like when the October War ended, we have been faced with a fork in the road, and not just my former Right Hand Man's corpse, but one in which we either get sucked down into the darkness or rise and become the leaders to the people we were meant to be. Before we do that though, you need to leave New York, get out of this town filled with the memories of the senseless slaughter of your family and see new places. Before you are the travel brochures to three cities, I want you to pick one up and see this world and all it can offer." |

Stepping out of the limo infront of Thomas's headquarters he walked inside through the glass doors Speaking to the secretary Im here to see Thomas.
"Could be a rogue in the mists" "I wonder whats for dinner" "baby rhinos are kinda cool"
Looking at Thomas as three brouchers were laid in front of him, as Thomas begin to speak to him I had always tried to do my best for New York, not to get ahead, but to make it one of the greatest city's to ever be. Some time off, vacation time, maybe ill take redhood with me. It will be good for my old bones and soul.

Thomas stood and clapped a hand on Premier's back. He led him to the window to look out over the city and nodded. "You've been with me for months building this city, our empire. I own this place because of all the help and leadership you've provided. This vacation time you've mentioned... I was thinking you should make it a little more permanent." Thomas saw Premier's eyes widen momentarily in his reflection from the glass. "The city of Los Angeles has been without leadership for far too long. It has not known a strong hand since the days of Prozac, and it is time for someone to fill its void. I will miss you here in this city, but you have been destined for greater things. Go and make them happen." |
