To a lot of us who grew up watching TV we can easily recognize the iconic blue shirt of a man who sold us a plethora of devices designed to better our lives and make our daily chores easier. Unfortunately today Billy Mays was found dead inside his home at 7:45AM local time in Tampa, FL. Billy Mays was a personal hero of mine. I have been enamoured with his show on the Discovery channel called Pitchmen and I respected what he did and how much work it takes to do a minute and 45 second infomercial to get someone to purchase a product. Rest in peace Billy... the next time I see an ad for Mighty Putty it will be a little sadder... |

That... is so terribly sad. Of all the stupid infomercials... I actually kinda liked his. Cuz he's so animated and whatnot. I agree with Joker that those stupid Shamwows were probably the death of him... Or maybe complications from that "plane accident" he was in on Saturday. Either way... sadness. |

Incase anyone was wondering cause of death... His flight blew a tire upon landing and jostled the luggage compartments around. A few of the bags hit him in the head but he thought he was alright. Went to bed and never woke up. Billy Mays was a true pitchman and i will miss laughing at his insane yelling about EVERYTHING! and please people, i work on airplanes for a living and see this kind of stuff happen alot.. never underestimate head trauma, always get it checked. |

Billy Mays had no head truama according to the autopsy. He died from a heart attack/disease. |
