Silo steps out of the HQ, raises his arms to the people walking about, and starts to speak. Good afternoon everyone, my name is Silo from JamaicanMob_Marley's crew out of New York. I'd like to introduce myself a little to those that don't know me. I haven't been in this thing of ours for very long, I came around at the end of the latest war. I don't know much about it, but if it wasn't for -Rastaman- talking to me in the streets of Chicago on that night, weeks ago, I would be dead. -Rastaman- convinced me to fly back to New York with him and meet his Boss, JamaicanMob_Marley. Silo pulls out a perfectly rolled joint from the inside of his newly tailored suit. I heard of people being killed that weren't a part of a crew, I've been thankful for being taken under. So thankful, my first 7 days, I earned $1,000,000+ for the crew. The Boss often times thanked me for my dedication to the crew. I work hard, you have to if you wanna get ahead these days. Silo takes a moment to light the joint and takes a few puffs... Working hard has paid off so far, I'm now a Made Man. I've heard the speeches of those that say ranking is too fast, I respect their opinions and I hope they respect mine. If someone works hard and shows loyalty to their boss, why shouldn't they be rewarded? I've worked hard, as I'm sure others have worked hard to prove their worth and trust and I thank my Boss JamaicanMob_Marley very much, for noticing my hard work and loyalty and making me a Made Man today. Silo takes a few more puffs as he looks around Thanks for listening, much respect to the Godfather ThomasRourke, my Boss JamaicanMob_Marley, his RHM Sunkist, and LHM -Rastaman-, the rest of my crew, and everyone else that respects us. With that said, this briefcase I've been holding has enough joints for you all to have 2 each. Open bar in the HQ for the next 30 minutes, leave your guns outside please, fighting can be done behind the HQ, but we'll be smokin... Silo places the briefcase onto a milk crate and opens it revealing thousands of perfectly rolled joints.

signals for Sunkist to hide the weed plant center piece
You said it Silo! You have done well my son. I enjoy those meetings in the alley and the briefcase you bring me regularly. You 've earned your position! I've watched you since you were just running in and out of post office buildings. -Rastaman- saw potential in you and made a good choice. Too bad all of -Rastaman-'s decisions weren't the same. You continue doing your part and I see great things happening for you. grabs a joint Hey who told you to hand out my Jamaican Special? laughs and heads up the street |

Rourke walks out to the Streets on a bright sunny day and notices a new face. He walks over to the man and introduces himself: My name is Rourke. Rourke grabs Silo's hand and shakes it firmly. It was the type of handshake a burly lumberjack would give to one of his brothers after a hard day's work at the mill. It was a solid handshake like Rourke's hand was made of finely-crafted steel and he was grasping on to a large stack of money. The handshake made Rourke reminisce a little bit of the olden days when he was but a young pup first doing crimes in the shadow of Marietta's hourglass figure. The two were inseparable at first; Marietta knew that Rourke needed solid amounts of training before he was able to brave the mean streets on his own. She taught Rourke how to give a solid handshake to another mafioso and showed him the difference between a handshake of acquaintance and a handshake of business. Rourke frequently used a blend of the two in his daily rounds. He knew it was sometimes hard to tell when someone might be shaking his hand for personal reasons or for business. Rourke loved shaking hands and was a member of the Handshakers' Union over on 32nd Avenue. He carried his card at all times. It read thusly:
Rourke eyed Silo up and down and knew this would not be the last time the two met. He continued to grasp Silo's hand firmly and for a brief second considered giving it a gentle squeeze. It could have been one of those gentle squeezes that said "Hey friend, let's go grab a drink at the local pub sometime soon," but Rourke knew if could somehow come across as "Hey guy, let's slip back into my place for some R&R." After an eternity, Rourke finished shaking the man's hand and spoke one more time. Very nice to meet you, Silo. I'm sure we will cross paths again. |
