I could never nor will i pretend to know what the families of our fallen comrads go through day after day. However, as a veteran of two tours to Iraq, I myself count my lucky stars because i am lucky to be alive today. I have a Fiance and two beautiful girls, ages 4 and 2, and i dont want to imagine what either of them would go through if i was to die in the line of duty. Could you imagine what your Significant Other would go through? Or your Children growing up without their Mother or Father? I know i cant and I wont try. So i am here, in front of all of you this morning, to ask that we as a community come together and donate to this charity to help the families of those SF Warriors who lost their lives defending the very freedoms that we enjoy, and at times take for granted. I personally will be donating to this charity $20 a month (at times more if my finances allow, and to other related charities, as i can afford) and I hope that some of you ladies and gentlemen do as well. We owe it to our fallen comrads, to do what we can to help support the families they left behind. Thank You for your time. |

Very admirable sentiment. Being an army kid myself, I always like to help out the forces when I can. Though that said, my support will obviously always go to the Armed Forces and their Vets from my Country, as opposed to elsewhere. Something that I would expect many will be the same. The link you provided doesn't actually seem to work. |
