First of all, hats off for the game, I have been here for almost a week and I love it. I have also noticed that each city has its own business district. As well as each person, it doesnt matter witch city he is in, is able to engage with another player half way across the US in the STREETS. I am sure that changing that is hard since from what i heard it has always been like that but it doesn't make sence for two or more people to engage with each other, stand in front of each other but each one is in fact in different cities. It would make more sense if the streets were merged with the business district since most of the engagements, speeches etc. that happen in the street take place in bars or on the actual street then having these speeches or engagements in their own shops and bars in their own districts makes much more sense. And if a person is interested in hearing or knowing more about a certain district they have to actually go there not do it while relaxing in their HQ. From a literal perspective, yo are off course correct. the idea that someone in LA can listen to GF Curtis speaking on a street corner in Brooklyn is stupid. However, the streets are and have always been a location, not just for topical discussion and debate, but for the dissemination of information. So, if you were to create more decentralised street forums, you would also have to rename the current street forum and leave it as purely a location for auth speeches, protection notices and the like.
Whilst this would be doable, it would make the current system overly more complex and less tangible. In my humble opinion. |
